Ribstone Creek Great White Combine IPA

355ml can. Pours a cloudy orange-yellow with a large, fluffy, long lasting, white head that laces beautifully. Sweet aroma of tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine, wheat malt and coriander. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, lemon, tropical fruit, wheat malt and coriander with a dry, bitter, hoppy resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Wow! A great offering coming from small town Alberta.

355ml can. (6.5% ABV) Pours a clear dark brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet malty aroma of roast, dark chocolate, caramel and dried fruit. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, dried fruit and a hint of molasses with a dry, mildly bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. A pleasant surprise.

Hazy amber with thin foam. Pine and bitter citrus hops with a strong malt backbone. Not bad at all for a bar at the Hyatt.

No head but nice gold body. Minimal aroma. Okay malt notes with kind of a soft nutty caramel arc. But all quite unintrusive even for a lager that is determined to be a wallflower.

Pours a dark brown with a little head and no lace. The taste is black coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and dark fruits. It all ends with bitterness at the end. Nice mouth feel, with just the right amount of carbo. I’d buy it again.

Pours cloudy gold with a small white top. Aroma is citrus hops and light cereal hops. Taste is nice a sharp citrus hop flavouring. Small yeastiness throws me for a bit, maybe a belgian yeast? or maybe its from the malt, light cereal but there is something in there that isn’t making it awesome for me. But definitely very good. Thanks to Reimer for this.

Along with an award winning porter when you add blueberry and age it properly with bourbon soaked oak you get a delicious cask. Smooth bourbon flavors and vanilla along with blueberry compliment the roastiness of this porter very delicately. Alot going on but all in balance... Could drink this all night but not for long as it would put you out.

Bought a sixer of these after someone told me about them. Pours a nice hazy yellow straw color with a whitish head leaving nice lacing on glass. Aroma is citrus and fragrant with some hints of grapefruit and spices. Taste is refreshing with a light sour and medium bitter. Hints of lemon and herbs topped with a medium bitter hop and some spice notes. Light bodied with soft carbonation and slick texture. Overall a nice tasty beer for the summer patio or BBQ at home. I would drink this year round.

Pours a beautiful bright straw yellow with a hazy body, thick puffed up pure white head. The aroma is estery, spicy and hopped up with light clove and coriander notes, sweet toasted wheat malts, citrus heavy hops. Sweet and phenol heavy with light citrus and spice esters, a bit of banana fruityness. Tons of citrus notes, bitter on the finish with a lingering lemon peel and coriander note.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a hazy straw color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and grains with some hints of spice, perhaps coriander. Taste is a light lemon tartness with a fruity and malty sweetness and a grassy, herbal hop bitterness finishing with a spicy note. Grainy mouth feel. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable, full flavored brew that is easy to drink on a hot day.

On tap at Keg n Cork Liquor. Visually satisfying with it’s pure white head and cloudy, light golden colour. Fabulous nose hinting at what is to come. And it does. Is that unique flavour all on the Galaxy hops? Or is it due to brewmeister magic? Not for IBU freaks. Love this brew. Unbeatable summer go-to.

An excellent white IPA! A hazy golden/yellow pour with a perfect 2 finger foam head (poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass). Has the mild, yeasty Belgian flavours you’d expect up front with a nice palate of spices (perhaps a bit coriander heavy). The Belgian profile fades into slightly bitter citrus hopping. Has a nice level of grassiness along with wheat and hay flavours on the end palate. Delicious!

2015-06-05. Hazy bright orange body with a small off white head. 3+ Aroma is moderately hoppy, citrus peel and citrus oil. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, some nice citrus hop notes. Some celery and vegetation as you go on. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent. Bit too much malt. Perhaps named after my trip that day to Elk Island National Park where I saw a single bison. On tap at Edmonton Craft Beer Festival.

Was curious enough to try this one on. A canned offering, pours a near-black red with a lacy off-white head. Aroma is mild, bitter, a bit of coffee there. Taste starts off a bit a bit sharp, but mellows to a kind of bittersweet chocolate and coffee. Not a great porter, but not bad at all for a young brewery. I expect good things from them with maturity.

Pours a slightly dark bronze, with no head or lacing. That taste is sweet biscuit, kind of like I was eating a digestive cookie. This flavour can be found in American Coors, but it’s heavier here. There is some left over bitterness but nothing offsets the sweet. I like it, if seems the sweet grain gets me off. I’d have it again
