3 Bainbridge Sol Patch Pumpkin Ale - Vanilla October 24, 2015 - Volo Cask Days, Session #3 - gravity cask. Bright and refractive deep amber with minimal head. Aroma is nutmeg+ pumpkin pie spicy, somewhat sweet, with a not-unpleasant vegetal character that implies actual pumpkin is in there. Taste - vanilla! some pumpkin and spice, light alcohol; too much vanilla, really. Slick, still, finishes quickly with a long vanilla/spice linger; meh. Tuesday, August 15, 2017

4.1 Bainbridge Old Toe Jam Barleywine - Chocolate Draft pour to a tulip at Hellbent, Lake City. I usually try to avoid ordering guest taps at a brewery, but when you’ve had everything they offer, and there is a damn good sounding Barleywine on tap, you make exceptions. Just the name, Chocolate Toe Jam. I’m in. First sip, zero regret. Dark brown, almost black pour with a fading head. Heavy milk chocolate, sweet cream aroma. Some dough. Flavor is extremely chocolate heavy for the style, but it’s clearly what they were going for. Rich caramel, milk chocolate, and an almost almond like lingering finish. Snooth, with no boozy feel to it really at all. Has hints of dough, but not enough to bother me like some beers I’ve had in the past. Extremely enjoyable, drinkable, and well put together. A total winner here. Sunday, March 12, 2017
