Medium brown, no head. On the nose, there's some peanuts, and I'm not getting much else. On the palate, this has a sweet accent, touch of molasses, bit sticky, and then some barrel accents.

This is an awesome barrel aged imperial stout. It has notes of alcohol and chocolate with elements of whiskey. A very good effort from a local Washington Brewery.

Bottle in Seattle. Thick white foam, pale, clearish straw. Fruity aroma. Moderate body, good example of the mixed ferment style. Some fruity, almost estery qualities of yeast with some crisper malt flavors. Banana flavors dominate the finish, with some lighter bitterness. Alright.

Bainbridge Sol Patch Pumpkin Ale - Vanilla
October 24, 2015 - Volo Cask Days, Session #3 - gravity cask. Bright and refractive deep amber with minimal head. Aroma is nutmeg+ pumpkin pie spicy, somewhat sweet, with a not-unpleasant vegetal character that implies actual pumpkin is in there. Taste - vanilla! some pumpkin and spice, light alcohol; too much vanilla, really. Slick, still, finishes quickly with a long vanilla/spice linger; meh.

Bainbridge Old Toe Jam Barleywine - Chocolate
GG, Seattle. Thin ring of foam, very dark barleywine amber-brown. Cocoa and alcohol up front, butterscotch, fairly strong and bitter. Alc burn present but minimal, under a fizzy body. Body lacks depth. Thinly sweet, not complex, plays in the upper end exclusively. This diminishes over time. Ok.

Bainbridge Old Toe Jam Barleywine - Chocolate
Draft pour to a tulip at Hellbent, Lake City. I usually try to avoid ordering guest taps at a brewery, but when you’ve had everything they offer, and there is a damn good sounding Barleywine on tap, you make exceptions. Just the name, Chocolate Toe Jam. I’m in. First sip, zero regret. Dark brown, almost black pour with a fading head. Heavy milk chocolate, sweet cream aroma. Some dough. Flavor is extremely chocolate heavy for the style, but it’s clearly what they were going for. Rich caramel, milk chocolate, and an almost almond like lingering finish. Snooth, with no boozy feel to it really at all. Has hints of dough, but not enough to bother me like some beers I’ve had in the past. Extremely enjoyable, drinkable, and well put together. A total winner here.

I’m not a fruited IPA fan generally. This isn’t changing my mind, however it is one of the more well done ones I’ve had. Very grapefruit juice forward, more than just GF hop profile. Lingering bitterness.

Draft pour to a schooner at The Collective, Woodinville. As part of the Bainbridge Island brewers night. Dark brown pour with almost no head. Slightly doughy, bourbon, and roasted malt aroma. Flavor is a huge chocolate syrup like flavor. Smooth, soft bourbon afterthought. Love the cocoa nib finish here. Love the chocolate flavor overall. Love the amount of barrel impression. Good warming imperial stout here. Loved it.
