fly	3.7 Rogness Schoppe Private Stock Doppelsticke I am probably rating low due to an admitted bias, but oddly a favorable one - Mark Shoppe is a homebrewer I have met/known for some time. As this is brewed by Rognes using his recipe, presume it is fair game. Only one or perhaps two other dopplesticke beers I can recall and that was LONG ago. SudsMcDuff	3.3 Rogness Sophina Snifter at J Henry’s.we first realized we were in trouble when the plants started eaten my foot. Pours a dark Ruby. The head is very low no real lacing. No pineapple on detection but there is a nice rounded tartness. Lacks any assertiveness or real bite but is a nice beer after 20 minutes or so bravo from Rogness, this is actually kind of nice yet still very plain and bleak. .. . mmmbeer	3.4 Rogness Mudcat 22 oz. bottle served in a shaker- poured a extremely heavily shaded brown with black that is only transparent upon the edges when held to a light source. Thin tan ring about the glass for a head with some spotty lacing upon the vessel. Aroma of various nuts and some light molasses and cocoa. Hits the mouth with a wide body, malt isn’t soaked in sugar and feels nicely roasted, finish is only slightly sweet with some acidity. Very nice- or perhaps I’ve just been drinking crap lately. Pours a medium, well retained, white head,, over an effervescent yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is light clove, slight banana/bubblegum, hints of light colored fruits (pear, apple), slight lemon, light cereal wheat, no hops, balance to the yeast.....taste is slightly sweet, with light clove, hints of banana/bubblegum, light apple, pear, hints of citrus, wheat cereal, no hops......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a pleasant, refreshing beer. Unfortunately it is a bit understated for the style. The characteristic clove, banana/bubblegum in aroma and flavors are understated making for a beer that is slightly muddled as to style. Perhaps only a yeast change is in order. gevetyn	3 Rogness Iapetus Good American Standard Stout, but it is missing something to be spectacular. Maybe I’m just to used to stouts in the 8% range, but this one seemed thinner than it should have been. Still good, just not over the moon about it. Would probably greatly improve if it was Nitro.
