Triple Digit Orange Cranium 4.1
4oz on tap at the brewery. Very dark brown, nearly black color. Got a sort of reddish hue around the edge. Thin ring of bubbly tan head. Decent bits of lace on the plastic taster. Whoa, really big, nice aroma up front in the nose. Emanates coffee and bourbon vanilla / wet charred wood from the smell. There is some dark chocolate orange from the aroma, too. And then, a lot more in the flavor. Wow, the dark chocolate orange is really apparent, and really pleasant. Itís much more prominent than expected, sort of takes the reigns from the coffee. Works well with the bourbon. Interesting flavor. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, moderate sweet, some alcohol heat. Bigger body. Decent chewiness. Lighter carbonation.

Triple Digit O-H! 3.6
4oz plastic taster at the taproom. Near-black color -- very dark brown, slight red. Thin sort of bubbly tan head. Awesome big peanut butter up front in the nose, a little dark chocolate seems to come through too from the smell. In the flavor, thereís much more roast, and a touch of coffee, some dark fruit and raisin, moderate amount of smoke. Bigger body, mildly chewy, but not thick like an imperial stout. Lighter to moderate carbonation. Mild dry finish. Mild astringent at the back end. Big bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, more dry overall. Some alcohol warmth, and a bit of a bite at the back end. Aggressive, for sure. Interesting stuff to try, but 4oz was enough for me.

Triple Digit O-H! 3.8
Draft at Listermann. Pours a deep but not opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into a film and a ring that gets bubbly on one side. Robust aroma of chocolate and peanut butter, not unlike Nutcase, with fudge, caramel, tobacco, and earth. The flavor starts with a more bitter dark chocolate and the peanut butter shows up late. In between, thereís some earthy and leafy notes and roasted malts. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, boozy, eventually slightly salty and dry mouthfeel. Good, but I like th more mellow Nutcase better.

Triple Digit O-H! 3.9
Draft at Listermann from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have nice roasted malts, chocolate, peanut butter, earth, did have moments where I could get some Reeseís cup, though the chocolate is darker than in the candy, I enjoyed my pour but would still like to revisit especially when bottles hit. Seemed fitting to rate this at 7600 since my Buckeyes did so well in their Bowl game and the two teams from the Big Ten that were supposed to be better than them failed miserably in their games.

Triple Digit Bourbon Barrel Reanimation 3.6
Draft at Listermann and from a bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big fleshy pumpkin, spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, bourbon, wood, vanilla, caramel, allspice, with an earthy character to the flavor. Solid pumpkin beer that is big with some boozy alcohol. I remember thinking that this would work well in a barrel, but now having had it I think I liked the base beer better. This is boozy, has more concentrated spices and seems thinner.

Triple Digit Chai Chickow! 3.8
22 ounce bottle from phaleslu. Thanks! The beer is a dark brown, near black with a khaki colored head of foam. Pretty good retention. The aroma is all Chai spice. Unfortunately, the base beer is completely covered up. A bit of astringency comes through in the taste, maybe due to some over extraction. Spice forward taste, though, with a light sweetness. Big bodied and lower carbonation. Bit of a surprise that the base beer is covered up so much.

Triple Digit Bourbon Barrel Reanimation 3.7
22 oz. bottle from Listermann. Pours a hazy brown-amber with orange undertones and a small off-white head that settles into a lasting ring and film. Big oak and vanilla notes, augmented by nutmeg, earth, mixed fruits, allspice, and chocolate. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, spicy, earthy, somewhat fruity mouthfeel. Honestly, the base works a bit better. I thought the barrel would make it pop more, but it thins it and makes things boozier. Itís good in its own right, though.

Triple Digit Chai Chickow! 3.8
4oz on tap at the brewery. Served in a plastic cup. Mostly clear dark red color, slight brown. Ring of off-white head, leaving good lace. Pretty awesome, bigger aroma here. Candied orange, some hazelnut, and a very nice herbal tea aroma. Very different than the chickow Iím used to, or maybe itís been a while since I had chickow. Moderate bitter taste, moderate-plus sweet. Mild tang. Medium to bigger body. Kind of smooth, lighter carbonation. Mild slick, light dry in the finish. Tasty, interesting Chickow variant. Works better than I think I would have expected it to.

Triple Digit / Hoppiní Frog Stuff 3.7
Bomber bottle, poured into a snifter at ~50 degrees F. Appearance: Your standard dark black stout, which forms a thin ecru head of foam that has decent, if not stellar, retention. Lacing is present, if a bit spotty. Smell: This isnít a massively scented beer, but what smell is there is pleasant. Chocolate hits right up front, floating atop a cushion of light coffee and vanilla. Some wooden and earthy notes underlie the initial aroma, alongside some stone fruit and molasses. Taste: In contrast to the aroma, spice strikes first in the flavor profile - what seems like ancho and chipotle peppers liberally dusted with cinnamon. The spice recedes a bit but remains prominent as the beer moves along, which allows some rolling waves of chocolate and coffee to manifest. Through the middle, some hints of vanilla can be found, beside a vinous quality and a tinge of blackened soil. By the finish, the spice has faded almost entirely, and the lingering aftertaste is molasses wreathed through with the vinous-soil notes. Mouthfeel: I canít help but feel this stout as on the heavy side of medium-bodied, rather than as the thick viscosity I associate with "imperial stout". Itís a smooth sipper nonetheless. Overall: While not a barn-burning amazing stout for me, I find this to be a solid offering. Itís a bit short of Triple Digitís usual mark for me, but so far, thatís been the case with most of the beers they-slash-Listermann have collaborated with other breweries on.
