Solera Cherry Wheat
On tap at the brewery. A: Sharply red, almost like kool-aid. Pink head and some lacing. N: Cherry pie filling, peppercorn, attic space, intense spruce and cedar. Dry hopping lends the coniferous elements, Iím guessing. Grapefruit and watermelon. T: Slightly sour and mostly sweet. Spicy, too. M: Tickling carbonation, light body. O: Bordering on a cocktail. A pleasant refresher of a beer that doesnít have a ton of staying power. I expect more from Solera, honestly.

Solera Cannonball
On tap at the brewery. A: Solid orange with a fluffy, pure white head. N: Potent hop nose, heavy leafiness leading me into a conifer tree. Some grapefruit and orange syrup outlines. Grass and biscuit. Straw and light pepper. Bubble gum overtones, medicinal at times. T: Balanced sweetness and bitterness, if you can call that interplay in a DIPA balanced. M: Medium heavy body; good resins. O: A fruity, bitter DIPA. Itís definitely less intense than many others of its ilk, but I think itís a decent quaff overall. Nothing too offensive on this batch.

On tap at Saraveza for the 5th IIPA fest, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out metallic notes, with some farmhouse yeast, more metallic notes and some floral hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with floral hops, bubblegum, metallic notes, and light farmhouse characteristic. Very haphazardly put together, with a acetic, perfumey, metallic finish. Not very pleasing.

On tap at Belmont Stationís 2014 Puckerfest. Colour...very pale straw, with no head. Nose...lightly funky, with old musty hay and ripe peach. Palate...resoundingly tart from the start, with a burst of CO2 and then a big wave of peach purťe and peach skin. The tartness lingers slightly on the back of the palate then dissipates, leaving just the fruity goodness behind.

On tap at Solera, pours a a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out farmhouse notes, some fruity tangerine-like notes and a bit of hops. Flavour is quite bold, with rustic notes, banana, and Belgian yeast. The banana seems to be the most prominent note in here, surprisingly. Not a traditional saison, but very solid nonetheless.
