belle robe blonde, mousse abondante.

I don´t like tripels but this one is not bad. There is nothing special about it but also nothing wrong with it. Nice beige head that slowly disappears to keep just a little. Hazy golden. Cannot say anything specific about taste, cannot feel anything. But for a triple it is not bad :-)

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with a medium off-white/beige head.

Taste/Palate:

Hazy brown orange color. Very small and subtle CO2 bubbles. Quite bitter aftertaste. I don’t really know what to think about it, not enjoying it much but not sure why.

Zweimal in Maastrich getrunken. Vom Hahn im Cafe Take One und aus der Flasche beim CRB Gig im Muziekgieterij.

Huge, just yellowish head, lacey, over veiled yellow beer with verdigris sheen. Weyish, milky grain, white candi sugar, garden weeds. Bitterish, herbal/greenery flavour. Some underlying pale malt, but very demure. Bit dry-liqueurish, or as watered-down blended whisky. Very spritzy, nearly overcarbonated; light body, seems very well-attenuated. Not sweet, not bitter, not flat, not explosive... very neutral.

Dark caramel-brown colour, hazy but otherwise translucid, with a very small tan-coloured head. Smells a bit like a Flemish red, at first - grapes, vinegar, stuff like that - followed by some nice bourbon, maple syrup. The taste is somewhere between an English barleywine and a quad/dubbel, with notes of caramel, apple brandy, maple syrup, bitter hops and alcohol. Medium body, mild carbonation.

Pours clear yellow. Good white head. Smell is citrus, a lot like lemon without the sourness. dry. Taste is Sharp, bit to the bitter side. Again lemon-citrussy. Too much carbo, and the MF is on the low side. The taste is decent though, and overall, it think this is a very uncommon take on the style. Is it better than others? not sure. But I can imagine people discussing this as awefull VS the best , and thats what makes beer truly interesting, isn’t it ?
