Mobreki Summer Haze
Draft: Hazy, dark yellow with a short, off-white head. Slightly sour, tangy citrus aroma. Taste is light, malty, white pepper. A bit too sour/funky......almost gives it a poorly done saison feel.

Mobreki Red
Draft: Cloudy wood brown with a short tan head. Aroma is cherry-sour, wood, caramel. Taste is the same.....with the ever-present odd tang that this brewery has in all itís beers. Not a standout.

Mobreki IPA
Draft: Cloudy, medium orange with a whipped tan head. Scent is orange malt.....spray paint. Taste seems oxidized, stale, flat....weak orange. Soft, not much bittering......just some in the background. Not good to style or enjoyment.

Mobreki IPA
A real IPA ! cloudy with all the character a IPA should have. No one IPA should taste like another. let the local water affect the taste, that is what gives it the special "local" favor. Will go back and recommend to all ! Keep working hard at making great new beers and make Madison a craft brew destination !

Mobreki Chocolate Stout
Draft: Pours black with a short tan head. Strong coffee aroma....chocolate. Taste was ashy, coffee, with an odd tang that soon become apparently common to all their beers... Something in the water. More coffee than chocolate.....

Mobreki Belgian
Pours muddy brown out of a foamy pitcher. Mild spice, fruityness, and mild sweet malt notes in the nose. Flavor is semi spicy, medicinal, and odd dryness. This was a miss and the name is "Belgian." The bartender asked me what kind of Belgian style I thought it was-I didnít know.

Mobreki Smoked Porter
Pours black. Standing brown head. Nose is roasted malts and very mild smokiness. Flavor is bready cracker malts with a nearly medicinal and spicy like flavor. Medium body. Flavor was a little off for my taste.

Mobreki Smooth Nut Brown
Aroma of some nuts, chocolate, light caramel. Appearance is brown/dark amber with tan head. Flavor had this weird fruit/nut presence. Palate was slightly bubbly. Another mess.

Mobreki Bourbon Barrel Brown
Aroma of pure rubbing alcohol and slight nuts, but I am being charitable there. Appearance was dark brown with virtually no head. Flavor was like drinking straight alcohol. Palate was flat. Terrible.

Mobreki IPA
Aroma of pleasant citrus, pineapple with some caramel. Appearance is cloudy tinted gold with light tan head. Flavor matches the nose somewhat, but just lacks cohesiveness; the flavors are like sisters who have made up their mind to sit in their own corner instead of coming out to play with their siblings. Palate is very flat, again. I think thereís something here, but it needs a galvanizing moment to pull it together.

Mobreki Chocolate Stout
Aroma of strong roasted coffee, bitter chocolate and light smoke. Appearance was black with creamy mocha head. Flavor had some strange unpleasant acidity (not in the foreign stout sense, either); the chocolate was light and the coffee took a backseat as well. Palate was slightly oily and creamy. Another odd one.

Mobreki Smoked Porter
Aroma of light wood, chocolate, campfire. Appearance is black with creamy mocha head. Flavor of artificial smoke (think "liquid smoke") bitter chocolate and ash. Palate was bubbly and chewy. Inconsistent and odd.

Mobreki Belgian
Nobody seemed to really know what this was, so, for now, I have simply labeled it "Belgian Ale." Aroma of chocolate, light rum, brown sugar and apple. Appearance is cloudy brown with tan head. Flavor of sweet, bready malt, some fruit, and a slight alcohol touch in the finish. Palate was creamy and sticky. This wasnít too bad.

Mobreki Red
Aroma of basic caramel malt, slight nuts and molasses. Appearance was copper/red with light bone head. Flavor had some slight caramel, pervasive butter and some nuttiness in the finish. Palate was very flat. Off.
