Söt, dammig, kvalmig doft med honungsinslag. Evaporerar snabbt. Vackert gyllene kopparfärg. Varaktig skum. Maltbemängd, men ändå tunn smak med söta citrusfrukter, citron, honung och tallbarr i paletten. Intressant kombination men smakar för mycket alkohol. Len, halvfyllig kropp. Eftersmaken har en pepprig, söt klang.

On tap at the barbecue place down the street from the brewery. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of pale malts, some light floral hops, some toast and a light grain note. Not bad but a little off on the aftertaste. Should probably have just ordered a natty bo. Oh well, new tick.

Can via the Slothenstein! Murky amber in glass with a head that whisps away like discarded tickets at the horse track in a storm. Some sticky lacing. Yup. Big, bold and strong body supports the biting grapefruitesque hops. Nice bit of malt emergence for finish... you, BERT!

Hazy golden body under a thick foamy white head. Big hop nose, pine resin, grapefruit and lime. Balanced flavor, plenty of PNW hops with just enough malts to keep it sessionable. Flavor lingers long and peppery with tart citrus. ~~~~ 12 oz. can, purchased "somewhere in Baltimore" (according to my wife).

A cask version on tap at the ChurckKey in DC. It is hard to believe this is a 9.8% BW - a thin, slightly metallic taste with some sweetness and roasted malt. The body is thin as well. I know cask versions are often not as punchy as their keg brothers, but this is a big disappointment.

Cloudy very light colour, frothy head. Lots of lacto on the nose, just a clean kettle sour on this one. Salty sour character, some peachy fruit notes. Nice rounded mf, finishes with a good sweet, salty, tart balance that is not easy to achieve. Good gose.

Thanks Bobby (aka Bobbed on untapped). Mentioning the canning date because this bad boy held up like a champ. 03/23/16. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance had a slight cloudy off color yellow haze to it with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated nicely. One ring of white foamy lacing rims around the glass. The smell takes in white pepper, crisp lemon, sweet wheat, sweet grass, honey, light tropical fruits - leans towards more papaya as it warms. The taste pretty much rubs the white pepper into the lemon to wheat sweetness. Starts to sharpen in the aftertaste almost making it non-existent. Quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice crisp sweet sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to hit decently. Overall, damn nice AIPA or white IPA, not sure, but whatever its supposed to be, I thought it was absolutely wonderful and even held up from the date. Would love to have again preferably with some grilled swordfish steak. Would be awesome.

Poured from a 12 oz can dated 3/22/2016. Aroma is nice with a light acidity and citrus note. Some medium light wheat and grain notes. Moderate to moderately strong coriander notes. Pours a hazy, very pale, yellow straw color with a medium small, thick white head that shows decent retention as it slowly recedes. Faint lacing and no legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with a moderate acidity. Acidity isn’t sharp at all though and adds a decent lemon, citrus note. Moderate coriander, though slightly less than in the aroma. A touch of some floral esters. Medium light salt notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright gose but not the best. I think the carbonation is a bit low and they used too much coriander, especially in the aroma. Salt level is fine though.

can recently picked up at State Line..giving this a go even though not a fan of the O’s or Eddie Murray..pours a golden orange amber color with slight haze and a solid 1 finger white frothy head..nose is great tropical fruit with papaya..mango..trace of pink grapefruit..this has got some potential..mouthfeel is very unique like the sorachi ace lemon presence as well with a trace of herbal presence and a touch of celery..really like the light combination between the citrus/herbs here..quite interesting offering that I would definitely drink a lot more of in both the spring and summertime..Union is putting out some very worthy offerings, keep putting em out, the cans/beer deScriptions/stories are classic as well..

Union Craft Duckpin Pale Ale
Bright gold appearance with a large, cream colored head and good lacing. Aroma of straw overshadowed by floral, fruity hops. Crisp, dry, bitter flavor that has the traditional pale ale underpinnings. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Competes favorably against better known breweries with a wider distribution network. Actually prefer this in a can as opposed to on tap.
