Union Craft Steady Eddie 4
can recently picked up at State Line..giving this a go even though not a fan of the Oís or Eddie Murray..pours a golden orange amber color with slight haze and a solid 1 finger white frothy head..nose is great tropical fruit with papaya..mango..trace of pink grapefruit..this has got some potential..mouthfeel is very unique like the sorachi ace lemon presence as well with a trace of herbal presence and a touch of celery..really like the light combination between the citrus/herbs here..quite interesting offering that I would definitely drink a lot more of in both the spring and summertime..Union is putting out some very worthy offerings, keep putting em out, the cans/beer deScriptions/stories are classic as well..

Union Craft Rye Baby IPA 3.1
Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter, piney and resinous with floral hops and a grainy note. The flavor was bitter, piney and fruity with a grainy undertone. Long bitter piney finish. Medium body. Ok.

Union Craft Rye Baby IPA 3.4
Cask to half snifter at Churchkey. Pours a clear deep amber color with no head. The aroma and flavor have big anise up front, hints of orange peel, spicy rye, not much else, moderate bitterness, the anise dominates though.

Union Craft Rye Baby IPA 3.4
Draft to taster at Churchkey on cask, pour copper with minimal ecru head. Nose anise, and that does it for me. Taste light bitter up front, then dank and anise. I just donít like anise.

Not quite as good as I'd hoped, but too sharp tasting, not a nice smooth roundness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Union Craft Duckpin Pale Ale 3.8
Bright gold appearance with a large, cream colored head and good lacing. Aroma of straw overshadowed by floral, fruity hops. Crisp, dry, bitter flavor that has the traditional pale ale underpinnings. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Competes favorably against better known breweries with a wider distribution network. Actually prefer this in a can as opposed to on tap.

Union Craft Balt Altbier (Figs) 3.7
Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont in DC on cask: pours musdy brown with a loose cask head. Aroma is figs, caramel, light earthiness. This beer very simply takes a good altbier (which is better on cask than the bottle) and adds figs to it, which is an excellent combinayion. That said the fruity addition is not overbearing. Nice balance. Great session.

can dated 2/15/16..fresh as can be..pours a tad lighter than expected dipa faint orange color..with a small head that reduces to a filmy coating thru out..nose is quite aromatic with abundant pineapple, mango/apricot, resiny goodness, citrus hop bomb..perhaps some tangerine as well..some real fruity citrusy gum that has about 5 different flavors thrown in..mouthfeel is ok a bit thinner than expected with such a complex nose..getting more of the apricot/tangerine bite at first with some heavy bitterness that coats the palate with resiny hop profile..medium bodied with some notice of the abv..nice to have another well crafted local dipa to be able to turn to, and love the fact that this is canned...worth seeking out for sure..good dipa..

Union Craft Miracle 2.8
Cask pour at Churchkey, finished w/ ginger & chocolate. Dunkelweizen doesnít care as well as a cask pour, resulting in a dull pour. Ginger dominates the aroma, softened by a bit of chocolate sweetness. Additives add some flavor, but hard to tell what the underlying brew would taste like. Slick body, ginger lasts through to finish. Donít mess with the Reinheitsgebot.

Union Craft AM Gold Volume 3 3.2
On tap at Gilly's Craft Beer & Fine Wine in Rockville, MD. Clear, golden yellow with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of wheat, caramel, straw, yeast and mild coffee. Taste of light roast coffee, yeast, straw and wheat. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. This is weird. In getting phantom hints of chocolate and roasted malt. It's not there, but the coffee flavor makes me expect it so much I almost sense its presence. The beer is an odd combination of flavors and not particularly well balanced, but the underlying cream ale is well above average and the coffee is quite good as well. I just think I would have preferred them in 2 separate beverages. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Union Craft Miracle (Salted Caramel) 2.4
Really not much going on here. Light hint of salt and caramel, some caramelized malt. Kind of a waste of a beer that was much better to start with. Low carbonation on cask - maybe this is past its prime. Cask at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont.

Union Craft Snow Pants 2.7
12 oz can at home from my Secret Santa, big thanks. no obvious BB date. almost black color, quite big coffee-colored head. smells earthy, licorice, some roast, lightly puke-ish, spices, OKish smell if it wasnt for the off-notes. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite sour, green apples, light roast, spices, licorice, earthy, lightly funky. finishes lightly sour with some unpleasant spices and some licorice. Beer gets rather unpleasant when warmer. This seems to have some issues (sourness), still some what drinkable at first, but gets unpleasant when warm.

Totally black with a small tan head and light lacing. Pungent, roasted malt aroma along side milk chocolate and coffee. Initial taste of bittersweet chocolate evolves with notes of caramel, dark fruit and a bit of smoke. Floral hops more evident in the aftertaste. Full bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a long lasting finish.
