yngwie	2.1 Balder Vreid Pils Bottle, at Sørlandet Matfestival. A clear, golden colored beer with a small white head. The aroma has loads of green apple peel, with a light generic fruityness and some pale malts. It's a bit thin on the palate, with a low carbonation level, semi-dry. Green apple peel dominates the flavor too, with some pale malts, bread and hay in the back. Medium length finish. Grass, yeast, plum, pale malts, hints of white bread and some piney hints. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. Pale malts, white bread, generic fruityness, some citrus and a touch of yeast in the flavor. Medium length slightly cloying finish. Some pale malt in the back. It’s medium bodied and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation. Rather low bitterness. The flavor too is quite berry-ish, mostly raspberry, but there’s also a cherry note. Generic fruityness, pale malts and a faint note of grass and piney hops. Medium length finish. A decent one, with a surprising cherry touch, considering there’s no cherry added. Moderate aromas of berry skins alongside a scent of dark malts. Slightly unbalanced berry-malty flavours, raspberries added by a note of chocolate. Prolonged ending. Rather thin mouth feel. The flavor has quite a lot of raspberry and raspberry leaves, quite perfumed, with roasted malts, some burnt malts and bark. It's full to medium bodied, nicely carbonated, and rather dry on the palate. Raspberry, berry plant leaves, roasted malts, dark chocolate notes, a burnt bonfire-ish touch and some herbal notes in the flavor. Rather dry finish. yngwie	4.1 Balder Baltisk Porter Aquavitt On tap at Cafe Sara. It's almost black in the glass, with a creamy light tan head leaving lacing. The aroma has roasted malts, chocolate and some coffee notes, lots of aquavit and a good dash of caramel sauce. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, guess the aquavit does more to that feeling than the alcohol itself, smooth and nicely carbonated, with a good sweetness. It feels almost pastry stout-ish in the flavor due to the sweetness and all the chocolatey, roasted malt flavors. Some coffee and heavy caramel sauce, as well as a lightly spiced booze touch. Super-long finish. A delicious beer indeed, sure one of the best from Balder. 190608 Wednesday, October 20, 2021
