Quite Tart, fruity and astringent/pungent nose and flavor. A little much for me, but still enjoyable in the 4 oz size I had.

Pours a clear amber/copper with a medium white head. Aroma is like fresh wort...fairly sweet malts...caramely. Flavor is fairly balanced...open up with caramely and bready malts but balancing earthy bitterness creeps in. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and earthy/bready.

927 / Tap It Sour Citra IPA
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma of mild sour fruit. Med body, almost. Flavor is tart/sweet fruit. Berry fruit. Not cherry though. Nor grape. The flavor is quite unexpected. No way this would be found "IPA" in blind tasting. It becomes quite tasty though, as the initial shock wears off.

On tap @ Mellow Fellow Truckee. Hazed golden pour with a finger of white head. Sour green apple, lemon, and some grapefruit. A bit of tropical fruit as well. The flavor is tangy more than anything. A bunch of lemon. Somewhat grassy on the finish. Plenty of green apple candies as well. A touch thin on the tongue. Nowhere near as horrible as expected.

927 / Bang the Drum Coucher de Soleil
On tap at Spikes for the end of Central Coast Craft Beer Week 2015. Pours a light orange with no head. Aroma is grass, slight orange and banana smoothie, very mild aroma to non-existent. Taste is muted beyond belief. Some banana, mild orange peel and clove. Not a lot going on here. When it was first poured I could barely taste anything on this. Spikes listed it as 7.3% ABV but there is no way this is accurate.

927 / Tap It Sour Citra IPA
On tap at Spikes for the end of Central Coast Craft Beer Week 2015. Pours a hazy light orange to yellow with slight white head. Aroma is a very nice citra, orange, slightly dank IPA when it is first poured. No sour elements at all that I could pick up. Taste is at first a watery citrus forward IPA that quickly goes downhill. Chemical cleaner, salt, some odd fruit I can pick up. Not overly sour at all but just tastes like a nice IPA that somehow went really, really wrong. Seems more like this should have been a collab with ManRock.

927 Blonde Sour
On tap @ Cambria. Clear pale, pale yellow pour with white foam. What a nose... Smells like a wastewater treatment plant. Like, a big, municipal wastewater plant. Particularly when you get near the bio-reactors. God. I was afraid to drink this. The flavor is like paper, dishwater, grass, and seaweed. This is just gross.

Bitter roast and coffee grounds. A lot of super bitter cocoa as well. Thin bodied and poorly carbed. Peppery finish.

927 Fall Porter
Pours a deep brown with tan head. Aroma or slight cinnamon, allspice and various other spices that definitely bring "fall" to mind. Nice taste which is also light on the spices with an above average porter in there too.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a deep golden to light brown with medium head. Aroma is straight forward IPA with some slight tree bark and pine. Taste when cold was very mellow but as the beer warmed up it was a great session IPA. The mouth feel is a bit light, per the style, but again was better as the beer warmed. Tastes of pine, bitter grapefruit and some slight dankness. Not like the Green River citrus, none here. Overall, I think I need to drink all session IPAs a little warmer than fridge temp.

Tap at the brewery, July 6. Pour a jet black with tan head. Light carb. Aroma is chocolate and coffee, in that order. Taste is a little light on the mouth feel but the taste is a very nice light stout with the chocolate coming in more than the coffee ground. Overall, a nice sweet stout.

Tap at the brewery the day after their 1st anniversary. Pours a deep, clear golden color with minimal white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is slightly floral and fruity with some pineapple and nectarine. Taste is mild fruit while the beer is cold but warms to a very good bouquet of tropical fruits and peach. There is a malt forwardness half way through that quickly dissipates and then a nice hop bitterness finishes it off. They are doing great things with hoppy beers here.

Tap, on nitro. Pours a jet black with a big nitro tan head. Aroma is coffee and slight grain dust. Taste is mild coffee with some chocolate and creamy caramel which is for sure helped by the nitro. Overall, this feels way more "big" than 5%.

Tap. Pours a deep, dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma is very minimal with some toffee and chocolate. Taste is mild cacao chocolate, creaminess and some mild malt. Overall, a nice porter from someone who isn’t too hot on the style. </homer>

927 Slab Town Pale Ale
Tap at the brewery. Pours a deep orange to amber with white head. Aroma is slight hop and citrus. Taste is fairly run of the mill with a little too much malt profile as the beer warms to cellar temp. The hops are there and thinking this might just be an older batch. Overall, very drinkable but couldn’t stop drinking the IPA to come back to this one too often.

Homer review from a read new brewery in my old hometown area. Draft. Pours a clear dark orange with slight white head. Aroma is peach, slight hops and sweetness. Taste is peaches full and pronounced. Hops are well balanced and the malt works. Mango and loads of sweet fruit. Overall this caught me off guard and was outstanding. Hill farmstead Abner is the only other beer with this much peach.
