330 ml. can shared. BBF 23/11/2016. Deep amber, creamy white. Nose is massive pine resin, very thick goop, tree bark, pine resin syrup, hugely thick. Neat. Taste is nowhere as harsh or insane as the can tries to make you believe, pine resin goop, sweetish caramel, creamy milky, bread. A bit too milky for me but decent & enjoyable.

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Dark amber, orange, little white. Nose is spoiled yoghurt, unpleasant cheese, big odd citrus, milky sugar. Taste is weak spoiled yoghurt, moldy rag brett, dirty, bad cheese. Watery nasty yoghurt body. Very dirty & unpleasant brett strain with unpleasant spoiled yoghurt notes on top. I would expect better from Wild Beer.

Is this really spontaneous? Not a lot of funk, but finish is long and full of rotten fruit. Pours hazy light yellow, little-medium carbonation. Smell like fruit funk, but very light. Taste is little sour, hint of peach and appricot and tart but not quite. Balanced fruity taste, but too subdued to be spectacular, definitely enjoyable though.

Wild Beer Epic Saison
Front of Bottle Shows: Somerset Saison Crisp light golden and honey coloured body with a glow of light copper and a very thick, five centimetre tall just off-white head that leaves a pretty nice lace on the side. Aroma of grass, hay, earth, mushrooms, funk, yeast and a faint hit of gueuze. Light-bodied; Very mild flavour of earth, some grass, a hint of yeast and a lot of funk, but this is VERY mild, there is not much flavour to this at all. Aftertaste shows the yeast, a hint of malt and the slightest bit of a dry grass or hay, but that’s it - no hops, no sweetness, no complexity and largely - no real flavour. Overall, an interesting beer that just fades off to nothingness after the aroma, really. Smells like it will have some flavours, but doesn’t ever really show up. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Small Batch Liqours in Denver, Colorado on 08-June-2014 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington on 25-June-2016, a bit longer than two years after purchasing.

Pours like fruit juice. Aroma: Light green apples, acidity, brett funk/sweat right at the back. Taste is quite different to the nose, cider, musty, funky with a sour finish. Light mouthfeel. Overall: Not crazy on this one. Flavour and aroma are too mismatched and even at that, the flavours you do get dont really sit well with each other.

Wild Beer Modus Operandi
Keg at The Liverpool Craft Beer Expo. A cloudy reddy brown and no head. Aroma of cherry, red berries, some vanilla, slight wood and a hint of chocolate. Taste of cherry, red berries, wood, some tartness, slight vinegar, a little bourbon and subtle vanilla. Medium bodied and a slick texture. A tart, fruity finish. Wasn’t sure at first because it’s not my kind of beer but like Rodenbach Grand Cru, it’s very complex and like red wine. The flavours are amazing if you can get past the tart flavour and slight vinegar.
