On tap @ Black Bottle Fort Collins. Clear, very light yellow appearance with a white head. Aromas of perfume, flowers, pears, a hint of butter, and apples. Thin body. Mild flavor though it also has diacetyl. A little oily texture. Medium sweetness and low bitterness. Not overly offensive but for a brewery that has been open several years should know better than to serve a flawed beer.

Black Bottle Wood Chuck 3.4
Hazy golden with a thin white cap. Lovely predominant whiskey nose on the aroma with fresh oak and rye and just..whiskey-ness. Nice and smooth flavor thatís more KŲlsch-y than I though it would be, with a lovely oak and gentle malt whiskey essence throughout, with a wee kiss of rye and finishes toasty blonde. Really subdued whiskey presence that still lets it be a kolsch.
