KeefOz	3.8 Birra dell' Eremo Yaki Draught at Mercato Centrale, Florence, Italy. Poured a crystal clear pale yellow straw with 1cm of bright white foam that diminished slowly to a cap that laced well. Carbonation nil/flat. Aroma strongly of fresh grassy hops and citrus (grapefruit, maybe orange). Taste strongly of grassy hops and citrus (grapefruit mostly) with hints of tropical fruits and pine; nice resinous 'bite' with medium to high bitterness. Medium body. colui72	4.1 Birra dell' Eremo Trick or Treat With few days of delay I open this Halloween beer, brewed with marshmallow, vanilla... and lactose. Aroma of roasted barley, dark chocolate, nuts, marshmallow and vanilla. It promises sweetness. A bright black pour, with a creamy brown head. High retention and laces. Tastes sweet, but not overwhelming. Roasted barley, marshmallow & vanilla, dark chocolate and nut husk. Some hop bitterness to balance the sweetness. Smooth. Full bodied, with moderate carbonation and earth warming alcohol. A pretty good Pastry Stout, with the correct sweetness and not many gimmicks. Marshmallow is subtle and lactose isn't detectable. I'm looking for the day when breweries will manage to replace lactose with marshmallow.... completely! Friday, November 3, 2023

Pours dark copper, fine carbonation, small head, beige with retention along the glass and some legs. Woody and sweet, although not sickening, malty, notes of caramel and toffee, prunes and raisins, vinous. A moderate dry finish, with a lingering red wine character. Full body, fine carbonation, booze well hidden, smooth. A very drinkable barley wine, with a great balance between sweetness and bitterness. Lovely evening beer. Tuesday, October 17, 2023

L'intensità olfattiva è molto elevata e la maniera in cui permane è considerevole. Il mantello birroso superiore resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. Il dolce è medio in buona armonia con l'amaro medio. La forza gustativa è molto elevata e la permanenza è lunga. Le sensazioni boccali finali inducono a bevuta compulsiva per una birra di pericolosa beverinità, insomma una "buona birra". Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. Sul tetto della bocca arrivano note di miele, frutta secca, agrumi, frutta disidratata, frutta passita, prugna, rabarbaro, ciliegia, cherry, vino Porto, incenso, uva passa e salsa di soia.
