3.2 Radical Road 4-Track [Can (355ml)] Pours an almost-clear, very bubbly yellow with a large long-lasting frothy white head. Lots of lacing. Slightly mild but nice aroma of citrus hops and bready malt. Flavour, also mild, follows but with a bigger than expected bitter finish. Simple but easy to drink. Average bodied. Good. 3.6 Radical Road Straight-up - Blackberry Can. Clear golden pour, small white head.. Aroma. Is raspberry preserves, and light cereals, with a lactic twang. Lovely carb, good mouth feel. Semi sweet, low bitterness, raspberry puree, and a bit artificial. Tuesday, February 22, 2022

3.3 Radical Road 4-Track Small can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy off-white head that sticks around for quite a while and leaves some thick soapy lacing behind. Has a clear yellowish golden appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of floral and grassy hops, some mild citrus and herbal with a bit of yeast. Flavours are mostly citrusy and pine with some lemon and grassy hop notes in the finish. Monday, February 21, 2022

3.2 Radical Road 4-Track Smells like a lighter Pilsner with some sweet malts and some Saaz hoppiness. Lightly hazed with some tiny particles floating around. The head is white, frothy, leaving some creamy lacing and top over the brew. The taste is mild, but some decent hops do come out, creating a little dryness. A refreshing, crisp light Pilsner-APA style brew. Thursday, February 10, 2022

3.6 Radical Road Cucumber Mint Kolsch [Can (473ml)] Pours a nice clear gold with a large semi-lasting frothy white head. Nice mint and cucumber aroma (7+) -- nothing else but it's to be expected. Flavour of mint and cucumber follows but has a bit of an odd bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good but I like this flavour profile. Wednesday, December 29, 2021

3.6 Radical Road 8-Track Can 473 ml Aroma: old school vibe, high pitch citrus, note of alcohol, sugars on walls. Note of her and pine resin. Look: handsome, lasting white dense crown, hazy gold base. Lace on glass walls. Palate: medium bodied, full front with thinner finish. Smooth. Taste: old school but not ancient one. Solid classic IPA with herbal citrussy resin, not too dry or sugary. Nice biter edge at finish. Thursday, December 16, 2021

2.7 Radical Road Cucumber Mint Kolsch This Kolsch poured a hazy, medium yellow colour with a creamy, white head. Nice lacing. Scents include cucumber, light grass, malt and cooked veggies. First swig was interesting. Flavours of cucumber, very mild mint, malt and hops. Finish is mildly bitter with that cucumber flavour lingering. Tuesday, December 7, 2021

2.9 Radical Road Canny Man Barrel Aged Scotch Ale (750ml bottle from 2012/13 I suppose, shared by Herbalist, thanks!) Pours murky deep rusty red-brown with an off-white head. Not in the best shape but not convinced it was ever that great, mix of heavy acrid peaty smoke, soft candied sugars and toffee, phenolic plastic, ash, oxidized metallic twang in there from the age. Light to medium oily body, still some remaining carbonation. Drain pour; partly our fault for drinking ignored cellar beers but several recent strong ales/BWs from the same time period of LCBO releases have been much much better. Friday, October 15, 2021

3.6 Radical Road Straight Up Sour - Pineapple and Mango Can from the LCBO. Hazy yellow pour, with a large white head. Aroma is quite pungent, with stone fruit, and sweet tropical notes. The base sour, has some nice lactic notes, and makes for a tart base beer, but doesnt overpower the fruit. Mouth feel is solid, carb is a tad soft. Finish is tart, but not overly, with a well balanced pineapple, and mango nectar note. Wednesday, June 2, 2021

2.6 Radical Road Straight Up Sour - Pineapple and Mango Hazy golden colour with an orange hue. The head is fizzy, not long lasting, slightly off-white with not lacing. Mango nose with vanilla. Eventually, popcorn butter aromas come out. Yep, feels like diacetyl to me, with the butterscotch notes. Not very offensive, but weird with the sourness and mango, pineapples. Not as good as the Winter Blueberry I just had from them. Wednesday, May 5, 2021

3.5 Radical Road Straight-up - Blackberry Winter Blackberry Sour at 5% ABV. Slightly hazy light golden colour with a pink hue. The head is mildly off-white, again pink hue with decent stay, leaving a tiny coat on top. Berry fresh aromas. The taste is where the sourness comes in, very nicely balanced with the blackberries. Thin finish with the berries lingering. A pretty nice easy-going fruity-sour brew. Wednesday, May 5, 2021

3.3 Radical Road Cucumber Mint Kolsch 473 ml can purchased at the brewery tap on The Danforth.Pours light golden, slightly hazy, with small, quickly vanishing white head. Mild aroma of cucumber and, perhaps, mint, perhaps some grainy notes, but faint. Cucumber taste big up front - cucumber peel - not subtle but maybe if one is drinking this in summer, this is something a drinker might want. Aftertaste of bitter cucmber peel. Pleasant mouthfeel, cool, crisp carbonation. Mixed feelings, but interesting attempt. Saturday, March 13, 2021

3.4 Radical Road Straight Up Sour - Grapefruit and Mango #55 ml can purchased at brewpub. Pours hazy golden yellow with thin white head which disppears rapidly. Sweet aroma of mango and citrus. 3.2 Radical Road Cucumber Mint Kolsch Big fresh cucumber aromas which is great for summer. If there is mint in the nose, it is quite blended, hidden. Clean golden in colour with a nice creamy-frothy warm head, good retention, leaving creamy-foamy lacing. The mouthfeel is refreshing with the cucumber blending a little more, so less potent and the mint is very slight, replacing the hops in the finish. Again, pretty fresh. Shows some unfiltered aspect at last pout. The Kolsch graininess is mildly loss in this, but overall wish the mint was a little stronger to have a good mix between these fresh summer greens. 3.9 Radical Road Django Doppelbock Of course listened to Minor Swing while rating this. Medium brown. Medium head. Big toffee, molasses aroma. Big thick body, with dark sugars everywhere like malta, molasses and a little bit of caramel. Yet it doesn't come across as being sweet. So they nailed the underlying bitterness. I like it. Not sure it's super refined but solid stuff nonetheless. Friday, August 21, 2020

3.3 Radical Road Salvation May 19, 2018 - with harrisoni at Radical Road, on draught. Pink amber-gold, minimal head. Aroma is seedy raspberry with not much sourness, some alcohol (6+). 3.7 Radical Road X Shacklands Parallel Universe (Red Wine) May 19, 2018 - with harrisoni at Radical Road, on draught. Cool - we get to try the bourbon and the red wine versions side-by-side - and looks like we were the only ones to do so. Hazy gold, white head. Dusty/floral aroma, some oak, lots of red wine - dig it. Taste is a collision between a standard yeasty/spicy Belgian golden ale and plenty of off-dry light resin red wine, some oak - in fair balance (7+). Average body, slick, airy, hint of oak astringency, finishes quick and simple - I liked it a lot more than the bourbon one (surprise). Tuesday, May 5, 2020

3.1 Radical Road Hi-Fi May 19, 2018 - with harrisoni at Radical Road, on draught. Oh good - lactose. Hazy pale gold (greenish tinge?) small off-white head. Very mild aroma - vague citrus and alcohol? Light and airy mouthfeel, mildly acidic, finishes dry and tingly - lemongrass/catty pungency in the linger. Tuesday, May 5, 2020
