Granite Belt Barrel Aged Sour
2 February 2023. Bottle from McKenzie Row Cellars. Looks really good in the glass with a reddish brown colour and a slight beige head. Smells tart and there is a fair amount of sourness in the first mouthful but the more you drink the more the sourness settles.

Granite Belt Dunkel
Draught at Granite Belt Brewery. Poured a clear dark 'cola' colour with a one-finger light tan frothy head that retained very well before diminishing to a blotchy cap that laced poorly. Carbonation moderate, average and fine. Aroma is sweet with nice roasted notes. Taste is sweet with strong roasted notes and low bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth with sweet caramel and slight roasted notes on a moderately long finish.

Granite Belt Hatter's Wheat
On tap at brewery. Straw yellow with frothy head and an aroma that’s a bit fruity. Wheat beers can be hit/miss and this was a hit for me, quite tasty. Pairs well with the pork belly.

Granite Belt Tinker Tank Honey Cider
On tap at Archive Beer Boutique, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy notes and light honey. Flavour brings out honey notes and sparkling champagney notes. Not especially complex but it’s alright. Meh.

Granite Belt India Pale Ale
Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 210915. I didn’t think that this beer was as bad as previous reviews but they were a while ago do the brewer may have improved the brew. Anyway the beer was quite flavoursome, not a hop monster by any stretch of the imagination but certainly not terrible.

Granite Belt India Black Ale
On tap at Archive Beer Boutique 211214. This beer is a seasonal release and pours a thick black colour with a tan layer of foam. Loads of dark bitter chocolate in the flavour and it is like drinking a melted chocolate bar. Lots of lacing left on the glass.

Granite Belt Storm King Kölsch
330 ML bottle Hazy yellow straw color, white head that falls to a collar. No lacing with this. Nose is grain, fresh grass, and lemongrass. Taste is lemongrass and fresh cut grass. Decent hop bitterness. A tad bit thin but for the ABV that is acceptable. Easy drinking summer beer.

Granite Belt India Pale Ale
Product description says indescribable aroma and hoppy flavour. Brewer was obviously drinking something else cause this is nothing close to this appraisal. This is truly awful in both aspects. Sad beer.

Granite Belt Poziers Porter
Nice lactic aroma moving out here. Very milky choc vibe. Same flavours but lactose tends to get too much over time. Not awful porter but not great either.

Carbonation very low with small bubbles. Aroma very subtly of hops and maybe a hint of peatiness; not a typical IPA. Taste of a nice tartness, more like an IPA. Light body. Smooth with a pleasant slightly bitter finish. Nice enough.
