Mitten Maple Pecan Brown
At SAVOR 2016 as "Level Up" - the new name for the Maple Pecan Brown beer. Poured a mostly clear brown color with a off-white head. Aroma was nutty notes, light milk chocolate, earthy notes. Grain. Light sweet toasted pecan notes. Mild, but tasty.

Mitten Ned and George Oatmeal Stout
Compared to the Punchout Porter, itís a bit more bitter; not as smooth a mouth feel and aftertaste. Malty yes; perhaps a bit more at least in aftertaste. About as dark; at least to the naked eye. The mouthfeel is a bit more fizzy; not as smooth. Itís not like an old aged scotch. Itís like a younger more aggressive/abrasive mouthfeel sensation. Still smooth with an enjoyable bitterness that doesnít last long as the malt comes through the aftertaste.

Mitten Vanilla Milk Stout
A dark opaque beer. Malty. Aroma of vanilla with a slight bitterness at first but strong malt finish. Heavy drink. Good for sipping over a fair amount of time, not to be rushed. Supposedly cocoa flavors - I suppose so; that taste is coffee-sequel but not coffee. Earthy yes. Spicy no. Definitely take your time. Smooth mouth feel with no lingering aftertaste. Food flavors will come through this beer, not overpowering.

Okay. Crispish & light. Not too flavorful. Slight bitterness, not much. Light aroma. Light gold in color. Could drink all afternoon but wouldnít want to because I like more flavor.

Mitten Maple Pecan Brown
From notes. Enjoyed this at HopCat with Tara before the Wings game on April 19. This one is about as plain as it comes. There is a dark garnet colored pout with a thin ring of light tan head and no lace. The aroma is lightly sweet, carries a little nuttiness, but for the most part smells like water. There isnít really any roast to join in, and the nuttiness is light. The maple I was expecting to be a bit heavier (since itís in the damn name) but itís a huge disappointment. The flavors are just as disappointing, if not a little more so. It tastes like itís pecan water with a light roastiness, and the smallest amount of detectable maple on the planet. This one just isnít good. The mouth feel is that like youíd expect with a brown. Itís thin and light with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly sweet, nutty finish. I wish this had some damn maple in here. Christ.

Mitten G. B. Russoís Italian Pistachio Pale Ale
From can into a pint glass. Clear caramel color with small off white head. Caramel on the nose, maybe some light peanut. Body is light, a bit oily, sweet, tons of smoke, slightly bitter. Interesting and tasty brew, but doesnít hit the right spots for me.

More like a pale ale than an IPA. Downplayed hops with an emphasis on malt sweetness and refreshment. I'm even getting some citrus notes from this. Great and well balanced IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good solid well made DIPA. Not too bitter but still a sipper. Good honey like backbone to balance things out. By only using 1 type of hop, it has a smooth clean taste. Not a hop bomb, just a good tasting beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mitten Dockís No-No DIPA
On tap at Mitten. Poured clear medium orange with no head sticking around. The aroma picked up orange meat, pine, and peppery alcohol with light grapefruit trailing. The flavor found lots of peppery alcohol and grapefruit zest throughout, with a meaty citrus base.. hot and grainy on the finish. Heavier-bodied with creamy carbonation.. some good stuff in there, but a little hot and off-balance.

Mitten í84 Barley Wine (Batch 300)
On tap. Poured rich amber with a short-lived beige head. The aroma picked up lots of dark fruit and caramel with some raw alcohol accents.. nice and warm, but a bit rough. The flavor found spicy bitterness and alcohol on the tip of the tongue, with warm, grainy caramel and fruity notes following.. hot again on the finish. Heavier-bodied with smooth carbonation.. a little too sugary and boozy at times.

Mitten Dockís No-No DIPA
Tap: Cloudy body, burnt amber with a slightly frothy, off-white foam on top. Aroma is kind of faint for a 9% DIPA but still sustains a nice profile. Moderate mango & tropical hop essence with a touch of caramel & crystal malt sweetness underneath, giving a juicy aspect to the fruit. Taste is much more on the herbal & grassy hop side of things, still with a large backbone of sweet malt, edging on CaraMunich with crystalline residual sweetness. A hint of grain with a moderate citrus peel finish, not as much of the tropical essence I was getting from the aroma. Juicy, a little sweet overall, but still a pretty nice DIPA.

Mitten Vanilla Milk Stout
Tap: Almost black body with darker brown edges, a bubbly khaki collar outlining the top of the beer. Aroma is quite nutty with lots of cacao backing it up. Light vanilla, but far too light for a "vanilla" milk stout. Aroma is mostly a dry, nutty roasted malt profile with a moderate creamy sweetness undertone, actually. Taste has lots of coffee bean, kind of surprising but okay. Lots of dry cocoa dust, too. Big roasted malt character with a bold, toasted nutty presence throughout. Again, faint vanilla - but it might just be suggested from the moderate creamy profile of this milk stout. For a stout will vanilla in the name, it needs to be heavier. Light bodied, a touch silky. Still a decent stout, but slightly misses the mark of its moniker.

Mitten Triple Crown Brown
On tap at brewpub. Pours a murky brown with a khaki 1-2 finger head. Aroma is dominated by chocolate malts with some caramel malt aromas. Taste is predominantly chocolate with some roasted malt and mineral flavors rounding things out. Mouthfeel is what killed this beer for me. It was thin and watery, not what i would expect from a beer that smells and tastes so much like chocolate.

Mitten Eighty-Four Double IPA
On tap at the Brewpub. Rating from notes. Pours a hazed orange with a thick white head. Big, citrus hop aroma focusing on grapefruit and tangerine hops. Flavor is quite bitter, balanced with some sweet honey bread and dough malts. The hop bill is interesting but focused on the citrus side. Medium to full bodied, somewhat slick texture with soft carbonation. Long, bitter finish. A solid DIPA that makes me excited about the brewpub.
