fiery1	4.3 Cartier-Potelle Cidre de Glace - Réserve du Domaine 200ml bottle @ home. 2019 Vintage. Pours a very clear copper colour with no head. Nose is tart apples and some stewed apples. Flavour is filled with a vibrant apple character, and it has apple flavour depth. Thick bodied, no carbonation, and a high sweetness with a great balance of acidity and sweetness. Very nice. Aroma brings out lots of brut funk, with champagne effervescence. Flavour is bright, with lots of champagne funk, with a touch of barnyard characters, and crisp apple acidity. Flavour is decadent and intense, with a wonderful marriage between apple brandy and ice cider - it is boozy, but not detractingly so; it’s sweet, but nowhere close to cloying. Beautiful harmony. Flavour has a very nice balance of sweet sugary apple with light acidity. Tart edges, nice apple character. 8++ Smooth full bodied palate, no carbonation. 4+ The first sip was underwhelming but it grows on me quite a bit, becoming more nuanced and balanced as it goes. Clear, orange amber gold body with no lasting head and some legs. Mellow muted apple sweet cider sauce flavour has a lovely long sweet finish. Medium body is sweet sauce and tart fruit wrapped up together. Medium body. Delicious, improves over more sips.
