12oz can from Delocks. No date. Smooth orange pour. White head. Leaves some streaky lace. Aroma has sweet and citric fruits, caramel, and some pine. Taste is of sweet fruits, caramel, grapefruit and chewy resin. Somewhat dank but actually the fruitiness cuts through it a bit. Very tasty. Medium to full bodied, little alcohol. The blend is well done and the carbonation is solid. Finishes well blended between bitter and sweet, but fruity. Wow! A bit unexpected from a new brewery for me. This is very tasty, very well balanced, and quite good. 15.4

From bottle, courtesy of Ster & Trevor, thanks! Hazy pale golden color. White head, not much. Aroma’s: sourish, lactic, herbal/spicy, light sweet, also wheaty and light funky retronasal. Flavor is moderate sour with a hint of salt, light grain. Light bodied. Finish is a bit tart-ish dry.

Can pour - hazy orange, one finger head that recedes slowly into a thin film w/no lacing. Aroma is spicy, mild citrus hops, malt, and some rye working here as well...interesting if nothing else. Flavor is more citrusy than expected - lemon is quite evident...spicy and yeasty otherwise...kind of good, but there’s something at the end that is a bit off putting - just can’t put my finger on what it is - almost metallic flavored. Good dose of carbonation, and medium to light bodied. Nothing ’bad’, but this is far from my favorite from this brewery...

750 ml bottle to snifter. This bottle has red wax. Looks solid; a slightly translucent very dark cola with razor-thin beige lacing and no visible carbonation. Smells of dark malt, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, and a bit of coffee roast. Tastes like it smells, but less balanced and more bitter. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied. Enjoyable.

The Sour Note Punchen Red Flanders
Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, deep amber color, with a modest layer of off white head foam that quickly reduced to a ring, and spots of lacing. The nose was sweet, esters as grape & cherry, with a hint of caramel. Medium bodied, with okay carbonation, the flavor was dry, vinous, and tart, with a pleasant tannic astringency. Continued dry & tart into the finish. Nice.

The Sour Note Berliner Weisse
A 750ml bottle with no best by or bottled on date poured into a Cantillon ballon glass. It poured a clear golden yellow colour with an extremely thin white head that disappeared almost immediately with little lacing. Aromas of tart apple and lemon with a hint of grass and wheat. Tastes like the aroma, sour and tart lemon and apple with a hint of mango, grass and wheat. Dry, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall simple, but extremely refreshing considering it’s 34 degrees outside. It’s printed on the bottle “we do not recommend cellaring of this beer”, and I did not intend to, but I estimate it’s maybe got a year on it, but in good conditions.

Aroma - oat, alcohol, chocolate, roast, and raisin. Appearance - body is black, the head is tan and around 3/4" and holds tight. Alcohol cloying that drapes suds. Taste - has a rich mix of roast, chocolate, molasses, caramel, and oat. There are some complex flavors that come across as prune and other dark fruit. Palate - full body, slick feel, average carbonation, slightly astringent finish.

Deep black motor oil, brown creamy head. Looks good. Sweet and roasted aroma, salty licorice, espresso, cough suryp, soya. Oily slick, sweet, roasted to bit burned notes, long bitter roasted finish, medium body. Looks and aroma are best here. This is bit too burned... Takes away purity from flavors, quite good anyway. Warming gives more sweetness and softens flavors so I raised my points. This is actually good, burned notes much more hidden now.

18th Street Oh, So Pretty
Rated on 6-15-2016. This canned beer’s appearance is a small very fizzy white head that mostly diminished, hazy golden body, very lively and fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, lemon, rye, yeast, sweet, fruity, spicy, and malt. The flavor presents citrus hops, yeast, rye, sweet, spicy, somewhat watery, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and watery. This beer is light bodied. This is not one of the better Saison beers that I have drank/rated. The taste is a bit odd for the style and left me not wanting to drink this beer again.

18th Street Deal With the Devil Pale Ale
A 22 fl oz bomber with no best by or bottled on date. Poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a hazy deep amber orange colour with a one finger cream coloured head with decent retention and nice spotty lacing. Aromas are strong citrus notes with orange and grapefruit rind combined with lots of pine and caramel sweetness. Tastes of orange, approaching candy orange, with a good amount of grapefruit zest, pine and caramel sweetness. Just over medium bodied with moderate carbonation. For some reason, I had it in my head that this was going to be like pseudoSue or Zombie Dust, but this was completely different and not in a bad way. Deal With The Devil was still a great pale ale with a good balance between citrus fruit and malt.

Slightly hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has earthy/dank hops, orange peel and some sweet malts underneath. Taste is really balanced. You get juicy hops, sweet orange, a bit of spicy rye and a bitter finish with resiny hops. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a quite tasty pale ale but I don’t really like the aroma so much.

Purchased a 12 oz. can from 7-11 Kittery Maine. Color is a deep golden / orange with weak, bubbly white head. Aroma is rye on top of toffee and light citrus and earthy hops.

The flavor is dominate on the rye. The bitterness is moderate with lots of spice coming from the rye. The hops are here but over taken by the rye. Pretty much everything is taken over by the rye. It’s ok, it is what they wanted it to be.

hazy gold, puffy white head, dense and well-lacing. Right amount of grapefruit and sugar in nose, solid balance. Front palate more sugary, orange comparisons with heavy carbonation, mid palate soapy with light resin, more C-zest. Finishes too sweet, heavy carbonation leaves foamy feel.
