Tap @ mikkeller Aarhus. Pours black with a brown head. Nice looking indeed. Aroma is straight forward roasted malts, coffee, oatmeal and weak vanilla. Also some cocoa and chocolate notes. The taste is roasted with some dry cocoa and lots of oatmeal. Some coffee, dark solid malts and weak vanilla leading to a savory end. This is a solid oatmeal stout!

Clear orange pour with a single finger head. A little citrus on the nose, but not much else. This is an older bottle, so the aroma has muted quite a bit. Full bodied. A bit of alcohol that is frankly pretty unpleasant hits you with every drink. Lots of orange, burnt and candied. A touch of cereal on the finish. Not overly dry, it really falls right in the middle on the sweet/dry scale. Not overly interesting. No lace present.

Rated on 9-02-2015 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a very small beige head with a long retention, hazy golden body, slow rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma presents citrus, pine hops, tropical fruits, and malt. The flavor of this beer presents moderate bitterness, citrus, pine hops, tropical fruits, and caramel malt. This beer’s mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and it is a medium bodied beer. Overall, a very quaffable beer with a lingering bitter aftertaste. The flavor is very good and this beer is worth trying and it is a beer that I would partake in again.
