mR_fr0g	4.1 Populuxe Open House IPA Keg at the experiment. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with big ol' frothy white head. Aroma is unusual, floral citrus, big perfume, kaffir lime leaves, shurbet. Lovely. Flavour is composed of light wheaty grains, semi crisp, lime zest, kaffir, big spicy citrus lovely. Palate is frothy carbonation, light pithy finish. Palate is semi crisp, pithy, highish carbonation. Really good. Thursday, April 18, 2019
andrewje41	3.4 Populuxe Suncatcher Wit Draft pour pint, enjoyed at Populuxe. A pale, cloudy yellow pour, that actually looks green on top of these signature Populuxe blue tables they have. Straw aroma, hinted spices. Flavor is cool, light, pretty refreshing. Straw background. Apple grain front. A very easy drinker. Late lingering Belgian like yeast impression. Not a bad wit here. andrewje41	3.6 Populuxe Maltöl Draft pour to a tulip at Populuxe. A dark copper pour that shines like a penny in this beautiful Seattle sun. Caramel malts on the aroma, some spice, some tart indication. Cool flavor up front, bready, spicy and caramel malts. Multi layered flavor going on here. Malty, but remains a refreshing brew to enjoy in the hot sun. Unique, and a very fun try here. Sunday, July 1, 2018
bleeng	3.4 Populuxe Raspberry Wheat Draft at Populuxe brewing Seattle. Pours hazy orange with a slight white head. Big fruity aroma with a bit of a skunk nose. Nice taste of real-ish raspberries with a good bitter bite. Easy to drink and well done. Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Has a peach constant that I can't help but enjoy. White peach, semi bitter citrus hops, and a juicy finish. Hazy impressions in a disguised format. A lot of flavor. Pretty good IPA. luttonm	2.7 Populuxe Old Oddvar's Strong Ale Populuxe, Seattle. No head after a few moments, dull still malty brown. Nose of brown malts and licorice. Oily, dull, completely flat beer. Coating sweet sort and a phenolic bitterness. Cardboard, prunes, crazy puckering astringency. Quite a mess, and the body is very unpleasant. Not sure what the aim is. Sunday, May 6, 2018

brokensail	2.6 Populuxe Replay IPA On tap @ Populuxe. Mildly hazed orange beer with a white head. The hop character here seems kind of old and unpleasant--cheesy and dusty for the most part. There's some herbal and earthy notes, too. None of these things are really what I look for in an IPA...or really any beer. Some bready malts, toast, and a light to moderate bitterness. brokensail	3.2 Populuxe Satan Is Real On tap @ Populuxe. Golden beer with a white head. Unfortunately, this is kind of what the cynic in me expects when I get a Belgian strong ale at a random brewery. It's incredibly sweet and sugary and just isn't really doing much for me. brokensail	2.9 Populuxe Burke-Gilman Bitter ESB On tap @ Populuxe. Clear copper beer with a white head. Unfortunately this is sort of buttery. It's got aromas of caramel, toast, and bread. Light earthy hops as well. The aroma is slightly better than the flavor. Get a fair amount of butterscotch on the tongue which isn't doing much for me. Fairly estery, too. Eh. andrewje41	3.5 Populuxe Technobabble IPA Draft pour at the new Populuxe. A clean and clear copper pour. Very nice aroma of fresh grapefruit. Similar to their Inside Voice IS A. Similar recipes? Juicy grapefruit flavor as well, but borders candy like. Definitely a sweet side to this. Has a watery side to it, but the able that is there is good overall. Pleasant. Saturday, January 27, 2018

andrewje41	3.7 Populuxe Inside Voice ISA Draft pour at Populuxe. A very clean and clear bronze pour with plenty of head and lacing. Rich malts and grapefruit hops on the aroma. Flavor is a mellow melon and grapefruit hop, with a sweet malt background. Low in bitter for my expectations within the style. Citrus peel, good hop quality to it. Malty, with little hop impressions. Dull flavor. A plain tasting, very boring paper flavored pale ale. A bit of a saving finish. Watery, but womewhat refreshing. brokensail	3 Populuxe Cinderblock CDA On tap @ Populuxe. Hopefully this is the right beer as I just wrote down CDA. Dark brown beer with a thin khaki head. This one is mostly just roasted malts and cocoa (blech). Get some pine, a bit of orange peel, and some woody herbs. Medium bitterness on the back end. Maybe kind of floral at least. brokensail	2.5 Populuxe Pink Peppercorn Saison On tap @ Populuxe. Light amber colored beer with a finger of white foam. Intense floral qualities here along with some flavored and sweetened tea, some herbs, and lavender. It's got a decent amount of sweetness and is also a touch tart. You do get some peppery spice, but it's kind of mild. Really just heavy on the floral qualities and maybe even a bit soapy and oily. Friday, January 12, 2018
JK	3.5 Populuxe Old Oddvar's Strong Ale Tap at Populuxe. Hazy amber color. the brewer said it as an old ale. Low carbonation, a little lacing head. Malt, caramel, some brown sugar. Very light acidic bite like a British beer. Some dust, dried fruit, sugar, and old hops. Good. Sunday, August 6, 2017

andrewje41	3.5 Populuxe Bluebird Day IPA Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound, Bothell. Really hazy, apple copper pour with a thin patchy head. Very quiet on the aroma. A malt.l forward flavor, nutty, and a bit warming. A good IPA for the wintertime. A slight hint of peach towards the end. One of the better I’ve had from these guys in a while. Enjoyable beer here. andrewje41	2.4 Populuxe Pink Peppercorn Saison Draft 12 oz pour at Populuxe, Seattle. What a weird freaking beer this is. Strange iced tea in a glass. Hazy golden pour. Smells just like herbal tea. Flavor is soapy, peppercorn, heavy tea, cool herbal, some spice. Rough beer to drink here. Too weird, and can’t say I enjoy this. luttonm	3.6 Populuxe Replay IPA Growler Guys, Seattle. Lightly hazed, very juicy orange. Dissipating foam. Fairly earthy, pungent hop. Creamy full sip, earthy leafy full round hop. Lightly tropical on nose but mostly forest in the sip. A bit of an off flavor I can’t place, or that my own palate doesn’t like, but overall this is nicely put together. Spicy finish. Nice.
