2.7 Spinnaker Bay A Little Dinghy Blonde Very refreshing. Not much personality. Somewhat bland but strange grain taste. Easily drinkable. Friday, August 19, 2016

2.6 Spinnaker Bay Keel Over Scotch Ale Draught at Columbia City Ale House, Seattle; 10oz; 8% ABV Dark amber color with creamy head. Amber Ale, not even as bold as the abv would suggest, a lot of caramel, moderately sweet, and with butter in aroma and flavor. Didn’t like this one so much. Saturday, June 18, 2016

3.5 Spinnaker Bay Black High Heel CDA Draft at brewery. Black beer worth a tan head. This may very well be the last Spinaker Bay beer I ever drink. When I moved to Seattle this was the closets brewery to my house. However, soon a closer very opened up and this place still required a drive. Plus, they don’t allow dogs and the beer was never that exciting. Alas, I’m moving soon and this may be my lady hurrah. This beer, well it’s not bad. Though nothing about it makes me want to drink it again. Sort of describes the brewery. Thursday, June 2, 2016

3.6 Spinnaker Bay Don't Panic! Porter Draft at brewery. Black beer with ghost white head. The defining character here is a bitter black malt finish. Not sweet, a mineral quality cutting through the beer offsetting some of the black malts. A little toffee mixed up in there. Decent enough porter. Thursday, June 2, 2016

3.7 Spinnaker Bay Vessel Assist Draft at brewery. Muddy brown color, clear but dirty looking. I don’t believe it’s 9.7, can’t taste the etoh. Tasty though just like a Scotch ale should be, earthy, not sweet, low hops. Right up my flavor preference. Maybe a little sweet and a little cherry like astringency coming off the alcohol. A bit leafy aftertaste. Thursday, June 2, 2016

4.2 Spinnaker Bay Vessel Assist - Barrel Aged Draft pour at Spinnaker Bay. Dark reddish brown pour with a ton of cream foam head. Dark fruit swayed woody aroma. Cherry like. Flavor is a nice blend of cranberry and oak like character. Nice, smooth scotch finish, without near the double digit abv burn I expected. Excellent scotch ale here. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.6 Spinnaker Bay Keel Over Scotch Ale Draft pour to a tulip at Spinnaker Bay. Pours an ugly muddy bronze color with no head. Malt centered aroma with good hop presence. Flavor is dusty malt, caramel, maple, and a softer hop addition. Good scotch here. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.8 Spinnaker Bay Hibiscus Mistress Saison Tulip at brewery. I agree with Andrew in many ways and I love the strawberry character. It’s not a saison and it looks great from he color. But it’s not overly estry, it’s not sweet, it’s one dimensional I like it. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.1 Spinnaker Bay Slippery Sloop IPA Draft pour to a tulip at Spinnaker Bay. Pale golden pour with a thin fizz head. Straw like aroma with some wet hops. Flavor is a low bitter hop headliner. Somewhat of a dry finish. Grassy. Not the most interesting IPA, but could have much worse flaws. Sunday, April 17, 2016

4 Spinnaker Bay Vessel Assist - Barrel Aged Draft at brewery. Hell of a head. Dark ruby color. This is definitely barrel aged a d strong, not over the top. Tastes like scotch ale lightly alcohol candy. I really like it. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.4 Spinnaker Bay Hibiscus Mistress Saison Draft pour to a tulip at Spinnaker Bay. Beautiful day out to drink a pink beer. I’ve always been a fan. I guess a somewhat floral aroa, but yeast dominanted. Has a bit of a strawberry character to it. Floral for sure. Mixed berry linger. Fun beer. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.3 Spinnaker Bay Slippery Sloop IPA Tulip at brewery. Very hazy honey color, medium clarity. The hops are nice on here, old school citrus and pine. Well attenuated. The biggest turn off is I can taste the malt husks. Low bitterness. Would have been nice 1 years ago. Sunday, April 17, 2016

3.4 Spinnaker Bay High Heel On tap @ Spinnaker Bay. Pours heavily murky orangish amber with virtually no head. Aroma is thin sweet caramel malt; floral juicy hops on the back. Taste is sugary very sweet caramel malt, hops are lightly juicy with notes of passionfruit and pine. Rather flat. Not bad, nothing remarkable either. Sunday, February 28, 2016

3.3 Spinnaker Bay Slippery Sloop IPA On tap @ Spinnaker Bay. Pours very pale golden with medium thick white head that fades quickly. Aroma is thin malt, sharply bitter grassy hops. Taste is lightly sweet pale malt; crisp bitter earthy hops with strong notes of pine and grass. Ok for a lighter IPA. Sunday, February 28, 2016

3.8 Spinnaker Bay Black High Heel CDA Draft 10 Oz pour at Hop and Hound as part of my "taking beer out of hiatus" series. Just over a year on this one. Pours damn near black with a foam ran head. Big roasted aroma here. Flavor is dark roasted malts, and forest hops. Piney. Toasty with a hop bitter finish. I feel like this is a true, full on example of what the style is supposed to be, and I feel like they nailed it. Well done. Thursday, February 18, 2016

3 Spinnaker Bay Kayaktivist Pint at brewery. Amber color clear beer. Decent head retention. Aroma is dusty malts and vegetal hops. So is the flavor. This is old school, meaning IPAs have gotten much better. A little rotten fruit bitter end as well. Thursday, August 20, 2015

3.3 Spinnaker Bay A Little Wooden Dinghy Blonde This was actually called A Little Wooden Dinghy. Aged in gin barrels. Blonde body, with a ring of head. . Aroma of wood chips and a touch of gin and whiskey. Musty and nice. Sweet whiskey body with a musty wooden underpinning. Friday, August 14, 2015

3.3 Spinnaker Bay A Little Dinghy Blonde Shaker draft at local seafood restaurant. Clear dull gold color. Some head but no lacing. Once it warms up you get the flaws. A real husky malt comes out, leafy greens, and herbally but not in the fun way emerge. Flavor is similar. I like the lack of sweetness in flavor. A bitter random happiness emerges as well. Aroma needs work but flavor is fine enough. Friday, July 17, 2015

3.6 Spinnaker Bay A Little Wooden Dinghy Blonde Draft at 2nd Anniversary party at the brewery. Served in a Lindemans flute. They purposely made sure to tell me that it’s supposed to be a sour. Surprise me when it wasn’t that sour. Aroma is sour-esque Swedish fish and gin botanicals. Flavor is tighter with less sweetness, a moderate musk sourness akin to spoiled fruit. Lots of gin botanicals. Herbal aftertaste. I guess I like gin barrels. Friday, May 1, 2015

3.5 Spinnaker Bay A Little Dinghy Blonde Draft pour at Beveridge Place. Pours a clear gold color with no head. Subtle hops, apple and grain aroma. A lot more flavor than I expected, with some orange, pear, and finishes grainy. One of the least bland blondes I’ve had in recent memory. Well done. Friday, May 1, 2015

2.7 Spinnaker Bay High Heel - Bourbon Barrel Snifter at the brewery during 2nd anniversary. Bubbly head, clear amber body. The rest of the beer is not worth discussing because its diacetyl. And once you work past that you get a faded hop character. Again, why barrel age hoppy beers. Not to mention I don’t even get bourbon. Are these third time use barrels? Friday, May 1, 2015

1.5 Spinnaker Bay What a Tripp? Draught. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose was grassy and stale for me, and seemed to be laden with isovaleric acid. Taste is slightly sweet up front and bitter later, but has that stale old awful taste. Did not like this. Monday, March 16, 2015

2.1 Spinnaker Bay Overboard Barleywine On tap at Spinnaker Bay, pours a hazy orange / bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma is intense, full of cloyingly sweet sugar and messy yeast. Flavour is nuts, with cloyingly sweet brown sugar, yeast, and acetone. What a huge mess of a beer - just about everything wrong with this. Sunday, February 8, 2015

2.4 Spinnaker Bay What a Tripp? On tap at Spinnaker Bay, pours a hay orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out diacetyl and other chemically notes, and maybe some orange rinds in back.
