SilkTork	2.5 First Chop AVA March 2024. Small can from LCB. Lager in a tin. And tastes like it. Some citric notes clean it up and make it palatable. When I started on RateBeer there was not so much beer available, but it was mostly proper beer. Now there's loads of beers, but it's mostly commercial scientific lager. Closed cool fermentation with lab yeast. Throw in some hops to add flavour. Gee. [2.5] May 2021 - almost out of lockdown. Can while walking along the Great Ooze in Stony Stratford while staying at The Cock. Drinkable but unremarkable beer. Lagerish. Not many hops for a beer described as hoppy. [2.5] Sept 2019. dragnet101	3.6 First Chop DDH - Jester & Olicana Can from LCB, consumed 4 months before BBE. Pours a light hazed gold with nice white top. Aroma of gooseberry, mango and sweet floral notes. Taste wise the floral and earthiness of the hops comes through well with an underlying light fruitiness and grain. Medium bodied, semi drying, fine carbonation which brings with it a little hop spice. Enjoyable. Monday, February 19, 2024

A lager and lime style beer, though quite bitter tangerine hopped, some yeasty notes, and a general dirty saison quality which makes this more interesting if not exactly more tasty or acceptable than the standard lager and lime style beer. Martinsh	3.6 First Chop SUR On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s a strong aroma of tangerines (mainly), citrus and floral hops. In the mouth it starts off sweet and juicy before bitterness gradually seems in. Flavour has floral hops with some hints of spices, grapefruit and pine. Finish is quite bitter.
