Tsukiyono Princess March RONA
On tap at BeerFes Osaka 2019. Concentrated stone fruit aroma, spritzy citrus. Supposedly add with yeast taken from strawberries. Medium orange/copper color, not head. Indeterminate fruit, some tea? Some smoke? Harsh hopping. Thin-medium body. Overall this one is muddled and unsatisfying.

Golden color. The nose isn’t so distinguished but good hop character, very clean and balanced but finishes abruptly. Certainly not bad. I drank this in Minakami and it was obviously fresh which is necessary for this beer to taste good.

Tap at the brewery. Strong clove, banana, creamy, very thin, bit of sourness, which is alright by me. Suprise.

Tap at the brewery. Spice, choc, but thin again. Cola. Maybe my least favourite of the four, but still alright.

Tap at the brewery. Surprisingly nice given what I’ve heard about their beers. Lemon, light biscuit, alright, wheaty. Maybe a touch thin.

Raisin, chocolate cake. Coffee, mildly roasted, light sourness, dried fruit, pepper, fairly watery finish. Quite an odd one but at least it is drinkable unlike most of the rest of the lineup.

Hair spray smell. Rotten banana, notes of bile, buttery finish... Drain pour. Bottle was 2 month before BBD, no idea how these guys are allowed to sell this stuff, sickening...

Tsukiyono Yuhi Pilsner
Looks pretty weird and unappealing, no nose, almost flat. Tastes like nail polish with a buttery aftertaste, absolutely awful... Drain pour. Might be the worst omiyage beer I’ve ever tried and that says a lot....

Dark chocolate, soy sauce. Mild roasted malt, cocoa, diacetyl, seaweed, dirty bitter finish. Fairly watery and unpleasant, avoid.

Tsukiyono Yuhi Pilsner
Bottle from the Gunma Prefectural Antenna shop in Ginza. Pours a muddy, pale orange-amber with lace. Malty nose, caramel, toffee, touch of butterscotch. bit of grass. Not very lager like really. Thin, oily body. Sweet caramel. Not terrible, but by no means a real pilsner. Fruity, slightly prickly finish.

Tsukiyono Hotaru no Sato Kuro Beer
2015 Bottle from the Gunma Antenna shop in Ginza. Black with lace. Nose is coffee, cream, chocolate. Thin and watery. Rather simple flavors. Ice coffee with a touch of chocolate. Meh. New Brewer in 2019. 500 ml PET bottle! Slightly richer and a bit of sweetness, chocolate, light coffee. Definitely better than before. 2.7 --> 3.2

At RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks Chuwy. Probably a bit too old or a bad bach. Had a very strong sour aroma and a bad sour flavour.

Bottled, 6 months old. This has gone sour, but it tasted pretty nice as such. sout wheat, yogurt and milk, interesting barnyard character. Had a nice way of going off-something like a Berliner Weisse.
