AirForceHops	3.7 Liquid Riot Love’s Return 16 oz can. Aroma is great with dead hibiscus. In the flavor, the grape musk and berries overrides the hibiscus a bit. That’s a very good thing for me because I don’t like hibiscus very much. Dead flowers does balance the fruit. But it certainly is an interesting brew! Monday, July 31, 2023

puboflyons	3.1 Liquid Riot Irish Goodbye From a 16 oz. can dated 2/9/23. The appearance is dark brown to about black with a long lasting tan head. Lacing. In the aroma, I pick up dark roasted malts, molasses, soy sauce, and maybe a floral sensation. The body is low and rather thin. The taste brings out a slight creamy sweetness but it is not in my face. Mild bitterness to finish. It seemed to be missing something. Sunday, March 26, 2023

ClarkVV	3.8 Liquid Riot The Killing Draught at the brewery, around Thanksgiving, quite a few years ago (circa 2014). Cranberry red, hazy, small, pinkish head with low retention. Tart fruit nose with nutty wheat and lots of intense lactic character. In the mouth it's tart and lactic with plentiful berry and a good malt and wheat structure that helps balance all the acid. Some residual sweetness in the form of graham cracker and light honey with lingering tart cranberry acidity. Clean, no alcohol or flaw. Thursday, November 3, 2022

ClarkVV	3.2 Liquid Riot Straight To Blackout - Bourbon 500mL bottled March 2022, drunk 7/31/22. Clear, dark mahogany. Tan head steadily fades to ring. Very mild bourbon with light alcohol and a shit load of ash, licorice and dark chocolate. The bourbon is interesting with dry brown sugar and light vanilla on top of big spiciness. Initially this is just bone dry to a flaw. Roast, ash, licorice...alcohol and lightly spicy bourbon is just too much dryness for the incredibly highly attenuated malt. It's not thin or light bodied, just massively attenuated. It's not even too boozey or bourbony; just too dry. Light dark fruit, spicy bourbon. Gets a little bit softer as it warms but not enough to overcome the unbalanced dryness/acidity. Sunday, July 31, 2022

ClarkVV	3.7 Liquid Riot Primus Brewery draught, 6/16/22. Clear, marigold-tinted-blonde with a medium-sized, white head showing moderate retention. Trappist yeast in the nose is strong and fruity with must and mineral and light wax and vanilla. Herbal and grassy hops with light pepper and rustic grains. Similar flavor full of yeast character: apple, pear, wax and vanilla with rustic grains and a medium body with soft malts and good attenuation. It's very, very yeast forward and not my absolute favorite expression of it, but the hops are a nice respite. Saturday, June 18, 2022
ClarkVV	3.9 Liquid Riot Transcendent Saison Vol. 3 Brewery draught, 6/16/22. Minimally hazy, blonde-golden-maize with a massive, dense, white head showing strong retention. Beautiful white wine and lemon peel in the nose with hints of attenuated passion fruit and unripe guava. Opens up nicely over time, softening quite a bit. Light pepper, lots of cellar must and mineral with rustic grains that seem well-attenuated. Soft and malty with great attenuation and a huge depth of malt/wheat. Chewy biscuit and light dough with pepper, guava, mineral and white wine on the finish. No alcohol, weird ester, resin or flaw. Hops are certainly a big part of this, as they should be, but aren't overdone. Saturday, June 18, 2022
ClarkVV	4 Liquid Riot / Slab / Novare LRV 3 Year Blend Vol. 2 Brewery draught, 6/16/22. Clear, deep brass. Small, white head showing moderate retention for the style. Soft, round, tannin-heavy nose with strong yellow fruit, vanilla, very mild lactic acid and soft Brett. Honey and biscuit-like grains with hints of citrus peel on the finish. Clean and aromatic without any aggressive acidity. Soft, round, fruity and lightly sour with a soft, malty texture with dough and honey, as well as oak tannin and mild Brett. Lip-smacking sour acidity on the finish, but all in good balance. Reminds me most of Oxbow's Native Wild - must be a local yeast thing. Excellent, mild, but very flavorful and drinkably refreshing; just what a gueuze should be. Saturday, June 18, 2022

Immediately I pick up aromas of chocolate, ash, char, wood, cherries and yes, alcohol. Full bodied experience. Beer is a nice thickness for a stout and for how much alcohol is in this I am surprised it is so smooth. Lemon zest is the first sensation that greets the nose along with a mild graininess and white bread. Hops are citrus. Light smooth body.
