Pours a deep mahogany color with a thin tan head. The aroma was some chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor was a chocolate and caramel with a slightly bitter finish. This was a very good beer.

Nice malty base beer. Has a sweet chocolate malt taste to it. Full bodied, but with enough hops to balance the malty base. Nice beer.

High Cotton RazzWheat
From tap at High Cotton, Memphis. Sweet raspberry with wheat. Pretty sweet flavour, hardly any bitterness and only a little tartness. Medium body. Too much sweet Fruit Beer for my taste, desperately needs more tartness.

Serviceable IPA, piney with a nice citric finish, caramel sweetness playing off the resinous bitterness. The fade is weak, bitter yet fleeting, but damned if the pour isn’t a sexy beast.

High Cotton Rising Sun
on tap @ High Cotton / Memphis TM --- Cl,ear mahogany brown color, beige head that settles to a thick rim, wide bands of lace. Taste is malt and molasses that coasts through very light hops to a finish that combines malt and hops. Not quite enough for 8%, even though I sense the alcohol. Good, not great.

Taste is malt and bitter rye that segues into medium hops, with all contributing to a long sticky finish. Big and bold, definitely balanced, not an ordinary brew, but still nice.

Pours a dark mahogany with a thin off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, nut, cracker, and earthiness. Flavor is sweet caramel, toast, nut, and cracker. Has a thin body, a bit flat. I like it. It has more flavor and character than many other Scottish ales I’ve had.
