3.3 Ciren Hare Bells Cask conditioned at The Twelve Bells, Cirencester, Gloucs. Hazy gold with white head. This had a biscuity malt character with a drying peachy fruitiness, bitterness, lightly hopped, nicely drinkable on a summers afternoon. The hare in the garden was the best design we saw all weekend. 3.5 Cirencester Bells Bitter Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Chestnut with cream head. Smooth, malty beer with a sweetish, fruity, dark roast flavour, plummy, raisins. Quite like a mild in character but with an earthy, light hop. Really a pretty pleasant beer, good stuff. Saturday, March 1, 2014 | |
