Mistig goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Druiven, alcohol, citrus, citrusrasp, licht bloemig, wat tropisch fruit als het bier meer opwarmt, degelijk bitter, licht boozy. Medium body. brokensail	3.6 Tusk & Grain Barrel Blend No. 03 Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a tan head. Really heavy on the whiskey aroma and flavor. Big time oak, too. Nice cocoa/chocolate notes, some dark fruit, and caramel. A bit heavy on the booze, but it generally works well with the beer. Certainly pretty sweet, but the strong barrel character balances that out a bit. Not bad, but not as good as the other beers in the Barrel Blend series that I've had. Saturday, August 6, 2022

brokensail	3.9 Tusk & Grain Barrel Blend No. 02 Bottle @ Mike's. Nearly black in color with a small khaki head. Nice mocha sort of thing going on with bourbon, vanilla, and toffee. Has some dark fruit notes, licorice, and molasses. Fair amount of chocolate, booze, and caramel. Light spice and oak on the finish. Just a hint of bitterness. Sunday, July 10, 2022

Taste starts light to medium sweet clean malty with toasted note, following is citrusy and mild tropical fruity, mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry, while finish is average bitter. Mr.Spooks	4.4 Tusk & Grain Barrel Blend No. 02 Man, what a nice, deep, luxurious pint of beer. Beautiful amalgam of rich, sweet barleywine and dense, bittersweet stout goodness, boasting caramel, molasses, dark roast coffee, baking spice, vanilla, anise, and whiskey, all packed in a hearty oak box. Finishes dry with lingering bourbon and char, backed by a distinct but manageable bitterness. Absolutely delicious. Sunday, July 26, 2020
