Charleston Brewing Black Sheep Milk Stout 3.7
Tap. Creamy tan head on a mahogany body. Chocolate, toast, malted milk and burlap in the aroma. Oats, chocolate, toasted chocolate malt, burlap, and doesn’t last on the sweeter end of the spectrum at all and a roasty finish. Medium fluffy body.

Tap. Fluffy cappuccino white head, light hazy bright gold. Sour peach, pear, some hay and white grape zest in the aroma. Flavor is the same, touch sour hay, fruity finish. Lighter body that’s a touch watery. Not bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Westward Gaze is a reddish amber beer with a tight head of white foam. The nose is fairly rich of pine and herb hop aroma. The taste is medium malt providing a nice base for some moderate hop presence to work. the body is mediumly lively.

On tap at Black Sheep Burritos and Brews. Marcellus Ale pours a pale golden color with fair amount of tan bubbles. Nose is citrus and other tropical fruits. Taste is citrus and a bit of toasted malt. body is thinner. the finish is a touch more hoppy as you go.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a dark brown to black with no head at all. Filled all the way up on the glass. Nitro pour, too. The aroma has chocolate and ash as well as some caramel. Taste is fairly sweet. A touch of bitterness kicks in toward the finish. Mostly sweet throughout. Medium body and low, subtle carbonation.
