Charleston Brewing Mark 1 (2016-)
On tap at Black Sheep Charleston poured into a glass. Pours opaque black with big light brown head. Aroma is wonderful roast, medium/thicker body, medium carbonation, creamy texture, and thick big bubble lacing. Taste is roasted malt, roasty, some oats, some herbal hops, and chocolate. I prefer this compared to batch 1.

On tap at P&P Charleston, clear pale yellow with small white head. Aroma is nice malt, medium body, very little carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is nice malt. Needs a little carbonation and alcohol is pretty well covered.

On tap at Black Sheep Charleston. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is grapefruit hops, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is grapefruit hops, some nice malt backbone, and bitter finish. These guys do quite a few hoppy beers this is one of better ones.

Tap. Creamy tan head on a mahogany body. Chocolate, toast, malted milk and burlap in the aroma. Oats, chocolate, toasted chocolate malt, burlap, and doesn’t last on the sweeter end of the spectrum at all and a roasty finish. Medium fluffy body.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a dark brown to black with no head at all. Filled all the way up on the glass. Nitro pour, too. The aroma has chocolate and ash as well as some caramel. Taste is fairly sweet. A touch of bitterness kicks in toward the finish. Mostly sweet throughout. Medium body and low, subtle carbonation.
