Sample (thanks fonefan!). More or less black colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is toffee, chocolate, some fudge and mild floral, wooden, piney and mild fruity tones. Flavour is mildly toasted tones, but has a beautiful fruity, floral and wooden kick with a nice bitterness coming through. Really good CDA.

Can at home. Pours an uninviting brown colour and quickly dissipating off white head. Syrupy-sweet cinnamon and apples on the nose, with a hint of acidity. Some apples in the taste, light acidity again, some sweetness, some spices, fairly watery and empty body- and finish-wise. Meh

Dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Aroma full of pine and dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet up front, a mix of resin bitterness and toffee sweetness. Increasingly bitter at the back. Long, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Good black ipa.

Newest edition in their line-up of regulars/originals; can from the brewery's webshop. Clear golden pour with white head, limited to poor retention. Aroma of strong orange and other citric senses. Taste is indeed as an orange soda; moderate sour and mild sweet, but so with a certain watery element. Quite light feel, OK carbo. Surely quenching on a hot summer day, but for me too much of a soda instead of a beer.

Fine AF beer. Tropical fruit aromas, starting of mild with some mango, a weakish body, with a nice bitterness coming slowly through at the end. Mostly grassy hops at that stage, bringing a lager-type after-taste.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours black with a beige head. Aroma with medium roasted malt and some earthy hops. Flavour is rich, with lots of roasted malt, earthy hops, and a touch of pine, with maybe a trace of diacetyl. Balanced well, though not the most dense in either the malt or hop department. Could be improved, especially with that buttery character.

Can picked up from Beerdome webshop Grootegaste Netherlands and consumed at home Friday 1st March 2024. We had a Dishoom dish called Chicken Ruby, essentially a version of Butter Chicken for tea. Pours black with a head that departed so swiftly I cannot describe it. It'd a very sweet beer, the tonka is noted, it's a little bit boozy but still very likeable, some chocolate, thick mouthfeel. Good.

Can from the brewery's pub; collab with Kees. Very hazy, muddy deep dark-brown pour with creamy beige head; good retention, very good lacing. Aroma is surprisingly citric, orange & grapefruit, later other fruityness; but not clear what's behind. Taste is moderate bitter with a mild sweet undertone; different senses make a weird mix: some chocolate, dark-roast malts, citrus, licorice. Firm but not heavy body, OK carbo. Interesting, distinct, but really irregular brew; but surely tasty.

Two Chefs Beer Grylls
Can from the brewery's pub. Extremely dark, pitch-black pour with big, creamy brown head, retaining very well. Aroma is strongly chocolate and vanilla indeed. Taste starts mild, then coming through the chocolate strongly, at least medium sweet, then followed by a more dark-bitter aftertaste of dark-burnt malts, hop and licorice, growing stronger gradually. Mouth filling, sticky, but very smooth feel with rather low carbo. Interesting development of this nearly over-the-top chocolate porter; the aftertaste makes this brew a winner.

Two Chefs Tango Nights
Can from the brewery's pub. Pitch black pour with creamy beige head, retaining and lacing well. Aroma has elements of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and Tonka bean. Same senses in the taste, plus dark-roast or burnt malts; over medium sweet, with a sometimes a somewhat alcoholic aftertaste or a whiff of cinnamon. Very full body, very mouth filling, but a bit disappointing soft carbo. It's not a particularly complex brew, but very nice in what it is: a fat full sweet dark chocolate stout with a nice twist of Tonka.

Two Chefs Beaming Bob
Can from the brewery's pub. Crystal clear golden pour with white head, retaining reasonably. Aroma is mild hoppy, bit grassy and citric. Taste is also hoppy but different, more like bubblegum and something berry-ish (nearly over the top, so strong); moderate bitter, bit fruity. OK carbo. I never tasted the Mosaic profile so specifically or explicitly; that makes this modest gluten free IPA interesting still.

Two Chefs Pie Hard
Can bought at the brewery brewpub. Totally hazy, muddy brown pour, with effervescent creme coloured head, falling down completely; bad retention, bad looks. Aroma has indeed ripe apples and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg); smells like apple pie indeed. Taste is surprising soury when expecting sweetness, but mild; combined with lactose sweetness. Limit d carbo, but still something tickling; firm bite. Interesting impersonation of an apple pie with mild sweet & sour sense, but one of the worst looking brews I ever tried.

Can gotten for free from brewery's pub (because of lacking label); thanks! Very hazy ruby-brown pour, with floating sediment and a beige head; good retention. Aroma is a mix of (shortly) earthy hops, maybe some red fruit, and ultimately quite present wet malts/wort. Taste is moderate bitter, growing into the aftertaste; nice. Firm carbo, good bite. I'm not so enthusiastic about the aroma, but the taste brings character.

Op tap bij De Binnenkomer. Donkerbruine kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Flink hoppig, tabak, caramel, licht geroosterd, grapefruit, dennen, bitter. Mist een tikje zoetigheid om het fors bittere in toom te houden, verder prima. Lichte tot medium body.

Two Chefs Green Bullet (Pink Label)
The renewed Green Bullet by Two Chefs in Amsterdam, originally blue-labelled and less strong so justly a different entry on this website; brewed with six very well-known, I would say 'classic' New World hops, which is apparently more than in the original (which I enjoyed from tap at Spuyt in Amsterdam back in 2015). Can from the Albert Heijn supermarket in Lokeren. Thick and frothy, egg-white, tightly cobweb-lacing, somewhat uneven but very dense and firm head on an initially clear warm golden blonde beer, turning misty with sediment. Aroma of soggy spice bread, pear, something manure-like but luckily volatile, old orange peel, overripe pineapple, apple peel, cumin seed, hint of pine resin, stewed yellow onions, olive oil, diesel, armpit sweat, dry old herb cheese, grapefruit, damp straw, stewed turnip. Dryish onset, sharpish carbonation with distracting minerally effects, rainwater-like undertone, notes of apple peel, green pear and unripe peach but very subdued in sweetness; rounded, smooth mouthfeel, soggy bread- and cereal-like pale malts under a confident amount of hoppiness, herbal, a tad soupy and peppery, with an earthy undertone - and even though glimpses of citrus (Cascade), pine (Chinook) and onions (Columbus) are noticeable, the tropical El Dorado and Mosaic remain all but absent and the delicate orange flavours of Citra get a bit lost. Ends with a lingering yet not too harsh bitterness (even though it still turns a bit tonic water-ish eventually), resinous and drying with an earthy touch. All things considered I guess this is not too bad for a plain supermarket IPA at now four months of age, but it seems notably less citrusy, less malty (somehow) and less aromatic than its blue-dressed forerunner, if my own ratings of that one are to be believed...
