Brewers' Tasting Room Bad Badger Porter
On tap at the brewpub. They had a bunch of other local brewers stuff on tap, but wanted to support the location I was at. This wasn’t the best balance for a porter. Leans towards the sweet side....could use more hops. Ok feel, but texture could be a little creamier. Medium chocolate in the flavor...the rest is kind of bland.

Brewers' Tasting Room / 3 Sons: Neapolitan
On tap at Hunah Day. Pours a very dark brown with medium tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong strawberry, vanilla, roast, cocoa. Thick body, chewy, roast, strawberry cream, vanilla, chocolate, loved the mouth feel on this with intense Neapolitan flavors.

Brewers' Tasting Room / J. Wakefield CTC Brown
A little too sweet for me. This definitely smells like cinnamon toast, but the follow through isn’t quite there on this one - not as subtle or well done as some of their others. Pours brown with ok head. Very sweet finish. Tap at Blind Tiger.

On tap at Brass Tap Pines. Served in a taster. Black. No head. Coffee, vanilla, lots of sugar, and bourbon on the nose. Immensely sweet taste. Tons of vanilla. Coffee comes through second. Sweetness throughout. Heavy with low carbonation. Very tasty, but excessively sweet.

Brewers' Tasting Room / 3 Sons: Neapolitan
Draft sample at Hunahpu’s Day 2015. Listed as double scoop. Aroma and taste of exactly Neapolitan ice cream. Easily one of the best representation of desert in beer ever. Strawberry, vanilla, and rich chocolate throughout with a creamy stout feel. Overall, perfect execution of the concept.

Brewers' Tasting Room Thirsty Bear Ale
Draft... Pours cloudy and yellow with a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is faint and clean, but uninteresting. Medium to full-bodied with a viscous mouthfeel for the style and tickling carbonation. The flavor is bright, lightly sweet, fruity and bready. Mildly sweet, tangy finish. Not at all bad. Well executed, but I don’t like Belgian-style wits.

Brewers' Tasting Room / Cycle / J. Wakefield Collaboration IPA
Draft... This beer rocks!… Hazy amber pour with orange highlights and a large, frothy, white head that never fully fades. The bouquet delivers boatloads of orange, pineapple mango and mush melon. Big and thick-bodied with tingly carbonation. Bold, bitter, fruity flavor and bitter, rindy, raspy finish. Another world class collaborative ale tapped at Brewer’s Tasting Room!

Brewers' Tasting Room Pumptoberfest
Draft... This beer is hung like a horse!… Pours crystal clear and copper with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The nose is a marriage of scrumptious pumpkin pie and spicy baked apples. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is loaded with winter-spice-rack decadence and there’s a serious, crisp hop bite in both the flavor and the lengthy, spicy, Mojave-dry finish. Awesome brew!

Brewers' Tasting Room / J. Wakefield Casual Friday Session IPA
Draft... This beer has huge jonks!… Clear amber pour with flashes of gold and a huge, frothy, white head. Great retention. Thick lacing. The aroma is a virtual plethora of tropical fruits. Light to medium-bodied with vigorous carbonation. The flavor is decently balanced although melon-like, tropical-fruity hops win the metaphorical tug-of-war over the nutty, biscuity malts by a narrow margin. Crisp, zippy, clean finish. World class!

was a little worried about this one, thinking it would be like Stone’s Crime or Punishment, but wasnt terrible. a lot if cinnamon in the aroma and initial flavor, the heat sort of lingers in the aftertaste on the tongue. its good for what it is, but i wouldnt want a full glass of it.

Brewers' Tasting Room / J. Wakefield / New Belgium Starfruit Saison
Hazy amber-gold color with plenty if off-white head/lace. Smells like a malt-forward Belgian golden ale. Spicy and smooth, borrows heavily from the Belgian Strong Pale style, mild fruit at the end becomes more emboldened as this warms. Carb is perfectly dialed in. Sessionable -- especially for a 7% saison -- and quite well-made. Glad I’m a JWB OG.

boy, coconut is right. at least it smells of real coconut, not suntan lotion, which is what i was afraid it was going to be. flavor has it as well, though its not crazy over the top. you can still get some banana and clove in it. a neat take on the style.
