onceblind	4.3 Barrels and Bottles / Novel Strand Hurry Up and Wait Clear rich golden hue with a thick foamy white head. Fun little grassy pale golden malt flavor with some gentle tropical resins. Smooth yet full bodied with lots of golden malt and light Lagery biscuitiness and a lingering bready Finish with lots of grassy and tropical resins throughout. Surprisingly assertive body for 5.3% and nicely hoppy bitter. Sunday, September 25, 2022

Lovely nose with sticky leafy hop resins and tropical fruity bitterness with notes of pineapple and pine and papaya. Smooth clean flavor that’s lightly biscuity and features a Lagery smoothness with notes of tropically bitter pineapple resin and hints of citrus peel and pine. Just the right note of bitterness and hoppy leafy resin. Lovely. Friday, December 24, 2021

Rich vibrant citrusy resinous hop aroma with a gently sweet pale malty tone with orange peel and floral oils. onceblind	3.7 Barrels and Bottles Camp George Marzen Clear rich deep copper hue with a thin ivory cap. Nose has a semisweet malty biscuity lager tone that’s really enticing. The flavor is a little in the semisweet side though. It seems well attenuated enough there’s just a bit more sweetness than I’d like. But the same malty biscuity notes from the nose are there. Herbal and incense-like nose with some light earthy bitterness and a touch of light lavender hit the nose with a touch of boozy copper malt. Big boozy flavor that’s got a sharp alcohol phenol mixed with American copper malt and bright bready barley, and bitter leafy hop resins. Earthy and a little woody, a bit sharp and bitter. But not without its charm. Warm and malty, bready and slightly citric and light lemony. Enjoyable but still just a bit more hoppy and sharp than it needs to be. Thursday, September 29, 2016

In the tasting glass this was a dark amber almost brown. Nose of chocolate and floral hops. Medium in body. Smooth in the mouth. Aroma and flavor impression is soap, malt extract syrup, fruit cocktail / pear juice / green apple, raw yeast, dirty dish rag / grime. Medium-light bodied, moderately sweet with low bitterness. Soap and raw yeast off-notes dominate the finish, where an additional sour apple quality develops. Pretty lousy overall: muted aroma, strong off-notes, poor ingredient expression, flabby and thin and syrupy. Saturday, September 12, 2015
cubs	3.4 Barrels and Bottles Sure Thing IPA On tap @ the brewery. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with an off white head. The aroma has some tropical fruit, smarties-like candy notes, a bit of pine, and some sugar. Maybe the best aroma so far here. Carbonation could be a bit higher. Moderate to moderate plus bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Fairly well balanced. A little more spicy in the mouth and kinda piney on the finish. Nothing stellar. This is the one beer I could put back pints of if I was here with friends or colleagues. Friday, August 21, 2015
