Queens Pilsner
On tap at the source. Poured a hazy golden color with a small sized head. Yeah, pass on this like you should pass on this Brewery ... this was their only beer on tap and it wasn't even a good Pilsner.

Queens Blackberry Lager
This has a Jolly Rancher aroma, according to Windi. Reddish pour, and a head with lacing. Basic lager taste with a little berry in the aftertaste. Fresh grain flavor and a dry finish. Nice.

On tap at the brewery. Pours copper. Bourbon, biscuit, booze, lime, maple syrup, tequila. Medium body. Tastes more like a mixed drink than a beer but not one made by a bartender. Reminds me of the horrific concoctions created during drinking games as a younger man. Not good.

Tap at beer authority prior to sneak peak Mummy screening just grabbing new ny brewery tick. Amber pour small head. Nose is faint malt and caramel. Tastes of light dusty hops, caramel, earthy, dried leaves. Watery palate. I heard these guys are opening a brewery location this year will have to see what they produce other than this mediocrity.

Queens BLVD Session IPA
Can. This exploded from the can with a big, white, frothy foam. The head retention is better than average, with a fluffy pillow sitting atop a muted orange and hazy brew. The aroma is musty and laden with a big, leafy greenness. This drinks with remarkable oomph for a session ale, full of earthy flavors and with a hint of spiciness over the top. (#6505, 2/17/2017)

Can shared at the RLGK tasting, March 2016. Pours a golden body with huge white head. Nose is plastic. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with notes of sweet malt and artificial cleaner, plastics. NYC needs a well distributed, easily accessible canned lager, but this is not it.

transparent gold, thin white large bubbled ring, wispy oil cap. Dank lime and paper nose, slightly cheesy. No cheese in profile, more dank than nose, no fruit, more dry paper bitterness mid. Slick but a crisp, dry lime zest finish lightens and there’s a surprising amount of chalk.

Growler. Pours a clear golden amber with a subtle tint of purplish red. Pretty color. There is a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of pine with some notes of caramel and some underlying blueberry. The flavor is malt with some very light caramel followed by some mild-moderate pine hops bitterness. There is some mild blueberry as well. Dries out a bit at the finish. No problems.

Location: Growler from Superstar Beverage - Huntington, 9/10/14

Aroma: The nose is herbal and piney hops, some caramel, and bit opf subtle blueberry
Appearance: It pours a reddish-orange color with thin head and some mild, spotty lacework
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, malt and blueberry, with a clean, light-medium bitterness
Palate: The body is light medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a smooth, somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: This actually works reasonably well. The blueberry flavor is pretty subtle, but it is there. The hops aren’t really big enough for a traditional IPA, but there is enough bitterness to make the beer enjoyable. It’s a hint thin from aroma, through flavor, to the mouthfeel, but it is still a pretty solid beer overall.

Growler filled at Lake Ronkonkoma Beverage and consumed the same day. It’s nice to see a brewery finally pop up in my hometown borough (even though this beer is admittedly contract brewed in Saratoga Springs). Pours a clear golden amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left considerable lace. Very pleasant aroma that is predominantly tangerine and grapefruit. Very refreshing. The flavor is malt followed by some moderate hops bitterness that is more reminiscent of an IPA than a lager, but the solid malt backbone holds up nicely. There is still some of the lager smoothness in the body despite the hoppy finish. Medium bodied. One of the more enjoyable lagers I’ve had in recent memory.
