Fin	3.6 LandLocked Secret Island IPA Bottle picked up from Hoptimism online shop. We're listening to Steve Lamaqs Music Roundtable on 6 Music, in which clips of old Roundtable s from 80's etc are being re-aired. Cooking a Carbonara, Thursday 3rd January 2018. Hazy mid gold with a large the frothy off white head. Another beer from Landlocked that despite being a couple of months past its BBD end Oct, still tastes pretty fresh, a touch of soapy hop perhaps but frisky and quite fresh. I prefer this to the Old Nelson, it's cleaner, more distinct and a very good IPA albeit weaker IPA at less than 5%. Fruity, dry, citrussy, good beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6 Friday, January 4, 2019
Fin	3.3 LandLocked Old Nelson IPA Bottle picked up from Hoptimism online shop. We're listening to Steve Lamaqs Music Roundtable on 6 Music, in which clips of old Roundtables from 80's etc are being re-aired. Nothing exciting for tea tonight just cooking a Carbonara, Thursday 3rd January 2018. The beer dirty gold/amber with a huge frothy off white head. Despite being a couple of months past its BBD end Oct, this still tastes pretty fresh, bitter but quite rustic, very down to earth. Aroma is more earthier than expected. skortila	3.8 LandLocked Year 2 On cask @ Wildeman, Brettfest 2017. The aroma has tart, red fruit, plums/dried fruits, hint of chocolate and chocolate. Dark coloured beer with not much head. The taste is a bit tart, has a lot of dried/red fruits, some chocolate, bit roast. Nice one Thursday, December 27, 2018

theprof	3.3 LandLocked A&E IPA DDH Cask at The Organ Grinder Nottingham. Pours clear golden brown with white lace top. Aroma is pale malts and hop fruits - nothing special. Taste is medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, slick texture, average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Not sure what if anything dry hopping added to this pale ale. Tuesday, August 14, 2018
tderoeck	3.2 LandLocked A&E IPA DDH 7/VI/18 - 33cl bottle as Landlocked / Handlebar A&E DDH IPA @ home - BB: X/2018 (2018-748) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle! Cloudy beige murky beer, lots of yeast chunks, also sticky yeast residue in the top of the bottle and the cap, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, passion fruit, also a bit artificial, candy, bubble gum, bit malty, sugary, red lace candy. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, sweet, bit oxidized, jam, bit cheesy, spicy and herbal, sugary. Aftertaste: very dry and bitter finish, some fruity touch, jam, strawberry candy, red lace candy, some grapefruit bitterness, bit resinous. Tuesday, August 14, 2018
madmitch76	2.6 LandLocked Old Nelson IPA 29th July 2018 Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts, mildly sweet. Aroma is alcohol, earthy brett, funky citrus, dirty. Flavour is composed of sharp lemon, petrol, bretty funk, pineapple juice, dirty earthy wheat. Palate is tangy, funky, prickly carbonation, . Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy roast, light liquoirice, bitter black berries and chocolate. Palate is semi sweet, mellow sour, airy lowish carbonation. Funky farmyard sour lingering. madmitch76	2.4 Landlocked A&E IPA 28th July 2018 Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is lighy and pretty dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, some very dry creamy sweetness. Dry pithy hops, tangy, mildly spicy and with some bitterish peel. Dry finish. Doing next to nothing for me, I'd rather have a pint of well conditioned cask bitter. Saturday, July 28, 2018

Nose is dusty fruits, wood must, lemon rind, damp cloth, grains. Taste comprises citric pissoi, stoned fruits, light brett, hay bale, funk. Taste comprises sharp fruit esters, trace of root liquorice, herbals, light brett, spice, funk, fruit balsams. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with moderate acidity. Ok. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, tangy, funky, plum skin, must, hay, sherbet, kick of acidity, sour candy, plum skin and citrus edge with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Scopey	3 LandLocked R.S. Turbo Bottle shared at DS. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma earthy roast, umami, tangy, dark fruits, fruit cake, musty, funky, brett and rocky road. The taste is dry, tart, tangy, earthy roast, ashy, umami, vinous, liquorice, lactic, musty, funky, burnt toast and tar with an umami-led finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Beese	2.2 LandLocked R.S. Turbo Keg at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours a super dark ruby, and kinda looks like a red wine. The aroma is somewhat earthy. Very thin palate and the flavours are a bit lacking in depth. Wednesday, June 27, 2018

PotjeBier	3.1 LandLocked Lemon & Lime Saison Cask at In De Wildeman, Carnivale Brettanomyces ‘18. CLoudy amber color. No head. Aroma's: lemon and lime indeed, light sweet, perfumey. Retronasal it's a bit milder, lemon & lime, sourish. Flavor is moderate bitter, bitter lemon. Light bodied. Long finish, rather bitter. Wednesday, June 27, 2018
Alengrin	2.7 LandLocked Lemon & Lime Saison Lemon- and lime-flavoured saison as the name says, tasted from tap at In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Loose and thin, off-white, open head over a hazy peach blonde beer with somewhat ruddy hue. Aroma of strong lemon candy ("Napoléon") and lime juice, soap, ginger candy, glue, washing powder, dried dandelion, bread crust, dried apple peel. Tart onset, rhubarb, sorrel and green plums with the expected lime edge, softish carb, bit resinous mouthfeel; bread crust-like maltiness underneath this strong lime aspect, distracting from the beer's basic finishing features of lingering graininess, late dried wormwood-like hop bitterness and drying natural tartness. The strong, soapy and perfumey, candy-like lime / lemon factor clashes completely with the bready, dry, spicy basic character of the beer, even to the point that I could not finish the glass. Not my kind of farmhouse ale at all, but leave that ridiculous lemon thing out and we'll talk again. Tuesday, June 26, 2018
Alengrin	3.1 LandLocked R.S. Turbo 'Wild black ale' from this modern craft brewer in Ripley, basically a stout of mixed fermentation, thanks to Craftmember for sharing at In De Wildeman in Amsterdam. Loose and thin, open, pale yellowish beige ring of a 'head' on a blackish beer with hazy, deep mahogany-chestnut brown hue. Aroma of strong 'drop' (liquorice candy) and salmiak, sherry vinegar, blackcurrant jam, elderberry leaves, very old red wine, ink, damp wood, plum peel, shoe polish. Sourish onset with subdued sweetish core, unripe plum, blackberries and elderberries, bit wry, softly carbonated (near flat, actually), smooth and resinous mouthfeel; hard caramel-like maltiness, bitter chocolate note, toasty bitterness accentuated by wry tannins and the sourness, liquorice and cassis aspects in the finish, late earthy hop and coffee grounds bitterness; lingering sherry vinegar tartness with solventy notes, bit ink-like. Weird concoction, sour stouts can turn out very good in many cases (even if rarely made) but this one seems to contain too many harshly clashing flavours to work well, a problem I encountered in more of these LandLocked sours.
