2.1 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Bottled (from Saveur Biere). Slightly hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, bananas and some herbal and mild spicy tones. Flavour is spicy, floral, herbal and some mild wheaty tones. Strange one. Tuesday, March 21, 2023

3.5 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position clear darker golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of grainy, floral, some fruity, vanilla and citrusy notes; taste is quite hoppy with some fruitiness (apricot and pear), as well as minimal vanilla again; ok, it is not an amazing beer but still quite enjoyable - considerably underrated on my opinion Sunday, January 29, 2023

3 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position The original Levrette, is a light-bodied and balanced ‘bière blonde’ created in 2008. Brewed to reconcile quality craft beer with a touch of French humour, its taste reveals citrusy notes and light hops with a sweet finish. This 330ml bottle was a gift from a friend visiting France. 2.1 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Bottled 330ml (Saveur) Hazy yellow color, small white head. Aroma has banana and rubber bands. Light-bodied. Flavor is similar: light banana sweet notes, rubber bands, a bit of spiceyness. Feels more like a wheat ale than a golden ale. Simple. Monday, December 12, 2016

2.9 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Bottled 09/08/14. A blonde beer with no head. A fusty French golden. Yeasty. Hops are ok but there’s a weird rubberiness. Getting orange flavours later. Decent enough. Tuesday, August 26, 2014

3.1 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Hazy orange body with stable white head. Oranges, rough yet present pilsner malts, grassy hops and a hint of lime. Not too bad actually. Light yeast taste, pilsner yet rich. Better than expected. Light bitter, big bubbles. Harsh ending, unfortunately. For what it is, not bad at all. (33cl bottle from Auchan in Tours) Sunday, February 24, 2013

3 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Bottle 33cl. A cloudy yellow beer with low head and lot of yeast sediment. Smell is honey like and malty. A relatively dry beer with a cereal body, and low fruit hints, there is some bitterness and slightly old paper notes, I suspect to have oatmeal or other cereals in them, with honey hints but also some sourness specially at the finish. 2.4 Celtika Blonde 330ml bottle found near Paris. Pours bubbly foggy yellow with almost no head. Aroma of hops and vaguely slight malts. Taste is heavy syrup and coriander, as well as some more hops. Medium to dry finish. Was hoping for more. Sunday, March 28, 2010

3.2 Celtika Ambrée from le Village à Bière, Strasbourg - hmmm, great! this stupid beer is foaming like hell, leaving just about 1 dl left for drinking; pours a hazy unclean amber-red colour without foam; aroma of chestnut, slightly woody; medium-bodied and sweet; slightly sour before a chestnutty finish - not bad Wednesday, February 25, 2009

3.7 Celtika Ambrée A small (330ml?) bottle with a crown cap, part of gift pack I got for Xmas from my brother. This one has an ABV of 6.5%. Slightly hazy, deep copper, with a thin mottled head which lasts fairly well. Nice toffee’d, malty nose. Good body, has a sweet edge which lingers on the finish. The 6.5% is quite noticable but doesn’t make it less drinkable. Nice strong ale, one to savour. Wednesday, February 18, 2009

3.4 Celtika Blanche Slightly darker than I’d expected, thin white head, nice fruity spicy nose. Quite full bodied but still clean and refreshing, certainly well carbonated! Finish is good, the fruity flavours linger well. Nice! Wednesday, February 11, 2009

2.8 Celtika Ambrée 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a two finger head. Smell of toffee, with spiced light fruit, cinnamon and honey. Flavor is a dry assertive Belgian Pale with a lingering sugar candy sweetness. Medium bodied, slightly creamy, with a light but persistent carbonation. Wednesday, January 7, 2009

3 Celtika Blanche 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with an amber tint and modest head. The aroma is spicy coriander tones and rather bready, with a distinct orange zest too. The taste started sweet with malt honey, and then the hops finished it up with a nice balance of bitter. Light to medium body with effervescent carbonation. Tuesday, January 6, 2009

3.1 Celtika Blonde 33cl bottle, present from my brother, part of a gift pack. Not particulary blonde, quite dark gold in colour, thickish white head. Nice spicy floral nose, malty palate with a touch of sweetness. A good robust style. Sunday, January 4, 2009

2.5 Celtik Levrette Bière de Position Small yellowish head, over UFO-laden ochre-golden beer. Oxydized malts, old grains, a bit herbal nose. More oxydized malts in the taste, maltsyrup, if not very sweet, lightstruck. Either too old, either lightstruck into oblivion. Quite slick. Not very enjoyable; needs to be retasted, as I suspect sloppy storage. Friday, October 24, 2008

2.2 Celtika Blanche Brewed by this Brasserie but bought under name of Rohane, Biere Blanche Celte. Bottle bought in Carnac area but drunk in UK. Appers to be bottle conditioned. Poured a pale yellow with no definitive head. Some carbonation evident and had a slight citric aroma with a little bitterness. Overall I was very disappointed with this beer. 3.6 Celtika Celtic Golden Ale 22-Mar-07 (750 ml corked and caged bottle: Obtained 06-May-06 in trade with Otter, thanks Jeremy!) The cork on this bottle was so tight, it required pliers to remove, but fortunately, the cork is still moist, not all dried out. With the cork removed and the loud pop disturbing my upstairs neighbors, I was relieved the beer didn’t foam out of the bottle. A careful pour of this cloudy, golden beer still created two inches of fluffy, white foam in Duvel glass. A quick sniff and the beer smells musty and somewhat sour, but wait, it’s a fruity sourness and smells pleasant, with elements of orange stone fruit, lemon, unripe grapes and pomegranate. Tart fruits dominate the flavor, and whether it’s intentional or not, I don’t know, but this is actually quite enjoyable. It’s moderately tart at first, but not what I’d call sour, and the tartness mellows considerably after about two seconds. Once the tart fruit attack moderates a bit on the palate, the beer finishes with a very light, bready maltiness. Medium-bodied, clean from the tartness, very carbonated at first, but that obviously settles down after some time. Not at all what I expected, but enjoyable and quite interesting. 3.3 Celtika Blanche Exceptional white beer! Very balanced with pleasant aroma, medium to light head, and blended body (not oily). Banana, clove and slight bitterness are well played in this offering; definately under-rated. Sunday, January 27, 2008
