3 Lindeboom Gouverneur Blonde (Rate 19/93/23: 6-4-7-4-14 = 3.5) Bit hazy golden pour with big dense white head, retaining well. Aroma is malty with some spicy yeast; wouldn't call it hoppy or fruity (like the label and some other raters do). Taste is less sweet than a lot of other blonds and mild bitter. Firm carbo. Not very special (like most blonds) but surely one of the more attractive ones. (Re-rate 07/11/23: 5-4-6-3-12 = 3.0) Slightly hazy golden pour with white head, retaining OK. Aroma and taste rather malty and not very much more this time; moderate bitter. Now they don't call it hoppy anymore on the label (which it indeed is not). 3.7 Lindeboom Gouverneur Brune As Gouverneur Dubbel. Almost clear ruby-brown pour with firm creme coloured head, retaining very well. Aroma is spicy, raisin, somewhat boozy even; nice. Taste is not too sweet (not even very much caramel), dark-roasted malts and also spicy (some nutmeg, maybe cinnamon). OK body and carbo. 3.5 Lindeboom Gouverneur 3-Granen Tripel (Rate 06/09/22: 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0) Their tripel now as "3-granen tripel". Bit hazy amber pour, with a near-white head; limited retention. Aroma is light spicy, sweet malty. Taste accordingly; moderate sweet and mild bitter; but I wouldn't recognise the piment nor cinnamon (although I can sort-of imagine the cinnamon). It seems a different brew than their regular tripel 5 years ago, but again. I find it an OK but not special tripel, that lacks what they mention on the label. (Re-rate 18/03/23: 7-3-7-4-14 = 3.5) Bit hazy dark-golden pour with white head; reasonable retention and lacing. Both aroma and taste are sweet-malty and spicy, cardemom, cinnamon (although I wouldn't have thought of cinnamon myself, without info on the label); medium sweet.
