Aromas of white wine white grapes cotton candy honeydew herbs and bread. Taste is standard hazy flavors, mostly follows nose. I am not a hazy fan so I am quite disappointed. Wish these breweries would be more clear.

Absolution 405 IPA
Aluminum can from Shell Gas: Poured a slightly hazy straw blonde color with a bit of fizzy foam, but it quickly retreated leaving the top of the beer naked of any real head retention. Aroma is an upfront smell of citrus, kiwi, pineapple fruit, and a whiff of musk or sweat. The beer is well balanced with just enough hop profile to make this recipe an obvious IPA style. Taste is bitter with a heavy dosage of lemon peel and it overly dominates the flavor. Aftertaste is slightly metallic in the finish. Overall an okay IPA but not something I would buy again or drink again even if I found it on tap.

Soft floral hops on the nose, has okay foam on a clear yellow body. Flavour is semi floral hops with a hint of candied pine. Mouthfeel is full and oily. This is a nice IPA, balanced, the tea isn't overpowering but adding to the elements.

Bottle. Dark gold-amber, hazy, with a beige head. Malty aroma. Taste - I dunno but i can tell you that was my first reaction was it made my gag after one swallow. Subsequent swallows slightly better, but I would say avoid at all costs, despite the fact it's a California Common.

12 oz. bottle from Absolution Brewing in Torrance, CA. NIce roasted malt and light wood aroma. Crystal clear medium brown color with a deep copper tone and a fairly small light tan head. Toasted wood and cream in the taste with a slight metallic undertone. Body is light and slightly watery. Appropriately light hop bitterness to balance the light caramel and toffee sweetness. Finishes smooth and lightly sweet with a lasting woody aftertaste. Nice amber/red ale that seems to fit the Irish red ale category.

Bright orange, lightly clouded, good head formation. Mild on the aroma, malty, tropical fruit, a little pepper. Carbonated and creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Strong grapefruit citrus bitterness from front to back. Especially strong long bite in the finish, lingering grapefruit. Tangerine flavor smooths things out mid palate.

Bottle 12oz. Lightly hazed reddish brown hue, thick pillowy head formation. Malty bread aroma, banana (although not yeasty) and pepper and woody spice. Toasted malt flavor, a little buttery and creamy, toffee, banana nut bread, citric sour hoppy finish. Fairly complex for what is traditionally a muted style.

Bottle from Carnival: Appeared a dark brown that was nearly opaque and topped with a stiff stubborn foam head that would only retreat with long periods of time. Aroma is mild and brings about caramelized malts and a hint of ground coffee. Flavors are off and clearly expired malts that create a gloopy syrupy drink but has balance because of the bitter coffee grind extract. Overall the drink was balanced and had a decent ABV that made it worth trying as the first beer from this company.
