Pike Monkís Uncle
An okay tripel. The Belgian yeast dominates, lending it some slightly off balance spicyness. Tried with Josh at the brewery in 2016.

Easily the best beer Josh and I tried at the brewery in 2016. Assertive maltiness. Lots of coffee, some licorice, dark chocolate, and wood.

Beer that focuses on balance rather than hop assertiveness. Grassy, a little citrus, a little pine. Tried with Josh at the brewery in 2016.

Pike Doubble Hopulus
Serving: from tap. Aroma: light hop. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, citrusy initial flavor and lightly sour, citrusy finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good. Not overly bitter.

Cask at Schooner Exact. Cask head, meaning none but bubbles. Very dark brown color. Roast and mineral aroma, soft, not acidic or burnt. Flavor is similarly mild, we attenuated and quafdable. I could drink many of these, doesnít feel almost 7 abv. Dry dark malts finish but not papery. I wish Pike brewed more beers like this and less IPAs.

Pike Space Needle Golden IPA
Can poured into glass. Pours a reasonably clear golden amber with an abundant white head. Great lacing. Nice aroma of citrus, berries, pine, hops. Flavor seems slightly watery but matches the aroma really well. Aftertaste lingers nicely while the bitterness quietly appears. Definitely the most berry-filled IPA Iíve had.

Pike Cerveza Rosanna
Here is a beer available only once a year and has been for a few years. No one in the Seattle RB community seems to have cared, until I showed up. Of course, Cinco de mayo this year has to happen when the Alaskan viaduct is closed for construction. That makes getting to Pike Place ar 5 oíclock super tough. Once you get here parking is even tougher. The things I do for beer. I was fortunate enough to find a 30 minute metered spot just 3 blocks away, so no putzing around. Cask was tapped at 11, drinking it at 5:20. Some light lacing, mild carbonation, room temperature. A dark honey color, clear beer. Durst sniff, you get some pepper. Flavor bursts with pepper, which sticks around. Very mild burn is present after a few sips. The underneath beer is boring but at least it doesnít get in the way. Love the pepper, can be more burny. Could use a cleaner base beer but overall fantastico.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, four centimetre tall rich brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, fragrant piney hops, a bit of caramel and some nice resinous notes. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour at first with a big bite of alcohol, some more subdued sweetness and a nice fresh rsoasted malt flavour. Aftertaste is rich and very well-rounded with a good balance of roasted malt and hops - nice! Overall, a very good Black IPA with a good balance throughout and still showing a bunch of fresh hops throughout. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-March-2015 for US$4,99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-April-2016.

Tap@Pikeís, Seattle, USA. Light aroma with roasted malts and some coffee. Pitch black color with medium, creamy, lighter beige head. Strong, balanced taste with organic roasted malts, dark chocolate and some coffee. Wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste with roasted malts. Strong body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, rich, organic and balanced. Much taste for percentage. Should have more intense aroma.

Pike Post Alley Porter
Bomber from Bottleworks for $4.49. For some reason, this beer isnít making the rounds around town like the rest of their beers. But I finally got my hands on it. Pours black (actually very dark brown but looks black) with and a small khaki head. Aroma is beautifully melded and light with light, aggressive roast, cocoa, toffee, and a light milky touch. Flavor is similar, very clean and hits the right spots on the tongue and quickly fades. Then it leaves my palate. Just a bit mineral, no acidity. Again, this milky chocolate but actual beer and not adjunct. I give Pike a lot of crap but they sure do know how to put together a good stout and porter.

Pike Dragon Slayer IPA
Draft pour pint at Pike. Clear copper pour with a pillow of white foam head. Soft aroma of grain. Flavor is definitely biscuit like. Dry. Very mild IPA, with a gentle hop bitter finish. Maltier impression than hops. Tastes like a slightly watered down IPA to be, but nothing really offensive going on. Alright beer.

Pike Monkís Uncle
The color of ancient amber with a thick frothy and lacy head. Wonderfully zesty bready and wheaty nose with licks of banana. Sweet and green banana flavors with some funky esters, and wheat bread. The flavors are a bit uneven--perhaps this would mellow a bit with additional aging. Not bad by any means, just a bit jarring with some of the rough edges.

Pike Old Bawdy - Dry Fly Barrel
Draft at BPP. Big heqd, lots of lacing. Really donít believe this is any different than the regular version, no barrel or extra etoh. Otherwise, industrial, stripped barleywine. Getting astringent enough that cherry is coming off. Basically everything I hate from a barleywine but not overly hot. Yuck. .

Pike Saison Houblon
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. I rolled the bottle and plenty of sediment resulted. Just short of a gusher. Lemon and saison notes in the aroma with spices and a little pepper. Fruit. First sip brings a good bit of funk, wet hay, and complex fruit. Barnyard stuff. Brett and earth. This is flavorful and enjoyable. Lemony undertones. A little sugar in the finish and then citrus and tropical fruit hops. This one keeps you guessing.

Pike Saison Houblon
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. It poured a hazy rich gold with a really robust off-white head the looked like whipped cream. Or maybe shaving cream as Dave suggested .Very thick lacing . Medium in body with a lively mouth feel. The flavor is complex with floral hops, citrus hops, and a lot of earth. The finish is very earthy and brett appears. A really tasty beer with lots of flavor and good saison funk. Loved it
