unclefrito62	3.4 Zaftig Heavy Hearted Amber Ale Picked up a six pack of this at Zaftig Brewing last month. Drank at my house in Stow, Ohio. Smell sweet malt. Reddish brown in color with foamy off white head. Taste the malt and grain. Has a sweetness. Smooth and flavorful. Medium bodied. Malt aftertaste. Nice beer. Cheers! Tuesday, January 16, 2024

alexsdad06	3.5 Zaftig Nuttn' 2it I had this beer in late 2017 either with Tmoney or out and about. Most of my notes were on this app on my old phone. I recently upgraded my phone and although the app transfered, the data didn't. I am going back and recreating everything I've lost using multiple sources. Many of the beers were one offs that although very good to great, I am unlikely to pursue again, or were ticks and also something that I wouldn't revisit. If I have another bottle or can sample the beer again I will update detailed information when I have time, but for now the score will reflect what I thought but each beer. cheap	1.3 Zaftig Hazy Miss Daisy From a green can this is almost orange hazy pale yellow. Volatile perfumy unattractive olfactory. Big white frothy head. First taste is really bitter like any IPA. Bitter as all hell. HArdley any carbonation, and its mouthcoating as well. Yea a big hazy bullshit bitter IPA. So zaffy is still on the IPA bandwagon, better late than never, heheheh. There you have it. Another IPA, like the one in a gahzillion sappy IPA out there that all taste the same, HAH. So be it. As it is said, so it is written. Thursday, April 6, 2023

jsquire	4 Zaftig Sticky Bunz Dark beer out of the tap with a short beige head that shrank to a lasting ring. Nose of cinnamon and vanilla. As billed, this has lots of natural vanilla flavor and tons of cinnamon spice. Lactose sweetness, vanilla frosting and so much cinnamon. Great dessert beer to sip at the end of the night. mcberko	3.1 Zaftig Too Cans On tap at Zaftig - Columbus, pours a clear copper orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out rich resinous hops, caramel malts, and burnt sugars. Flavour is quite sweet, with lots of rich resinous hops, sweet caramel malt and bready malt. Very sweet, yet hoppy and sturdy. Good in tiny amounts but would get tiring quickly. mcberko	3 Zaftig Nuttn' 2it On tap at Zaftig - Columbus, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of pecans, toasted bready malt and some caramel. Flavour is rich and malty, with lots of caramel, toasted pecans and bready malt. Sweet but not cloying, and concealing its ABV. Pleasant but not all that complex or interesting. Gets tiring quickly. Aroma brings out dry earthy notes, a touch of roast and dusty dry cocoa powder. Flavour is not great, with sludgy roast, earthiness and muffled cocoa. The mouthfeel is very muffled and sludgy. Flavour is sugary and simple, with copious sugars, caramel, and alcohol. How can you brew such a big beer, with so much sugar and alcohol, and not impart any complexity at all? mcberko	3.1 Zaftig Wee Heavy On tap at Zaftig - Columbus, pours a cloudy dark amber / burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma brings out big bready caramel malt, some toffee and a hint of fruitiness. Flavour is sweet and malty, with a sugary candied note upfront, along with heaps of sweet caramel. It’s a bit too sugary and cloying, but there’s a big body and enough depth to keep this semi-interesting. Still, needs a lot of work. How is this 96th percentile going at the time of rating? Shot	3.9 Zaftig Nuts For You Pint can. Pours ruby brown, almost the color of cola. Fluffy beige head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring. No lacing on the glass. Aromas of toasted malts---dark chocolate, coffee and peanut butter---with a nice layer of breadiness. Upfront flavors of coffee, chocolate with a bit of dark fruit and licorice. The peanut butter flavor is subtle and appears mainly in the finish. Noticeable alcohol warmth. Mild pepperiness on the tongue. Slightly oily mouthfeel, somewhat similar to letting a piece of dark chocolate melt in your mouth. The marriage of chocolate/peanut butter is fairly subtle, but blossoms as the glass warms up. Full bodied, as are most of Zaftig's beers. Very nice. Saturday, October 29, 2022

P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- 2019 vintage and I THINK this is the right barrel aged listing for what I had. Bottle doesn't say other than bourbon barrel aged. Very tasty. Well balanced and has aged quite well. Really enjoyed this especially as it warmed many flavors came forth. Sunday, June 26, 2022
