Logboat Fly Bye Farmhouse Ale
Bomber from Wine and Cheese Place. I rolled it to loose sediment and the result was a hazy green tea effect. A fluffy white head is 4 fingers. The flavor is not really distinctive. Some herbal notes with bread and musty notes. Lemon. This is gentle but pleasant stuff. A little cereal, hay, and grass but just a little. This seems more like a saison to me but that might be splitting hairs. It is tasty and enjoyable.

Logboat Snapper IPA
Can. Pours a clear light gold with a fizzy head and aromas that at first seem very lemony... as it warms the lemon fades a bit and they become more honey-dominated. Flavor is OK, but pretty boring for an IPA. Nice bitterness (but lacking a clear direction - I canít say itís really "citrusy" or "resinous" or anything of the sort... Maybe a bit "spicy" but thatís about it.) Nice balance. Kind of plain.

Logboat Fly Bye Farmhouse Ale
Pour is a crystal clean golden with a huge white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is moderate spice, earthy apple and citrus. Flavor is light citrus, pale malts, a hint of peppery spice. Not much of farmhouse yeast presence and I did get some alcohol as it warmed up. This was ok at best. Everything is a bit to thin from the look to the flavor. Probably could have used a bit more hops and a different yeast strain.

Logboat Mamoot Mild
Can pour. Appearance is hazy dark brown/mahogany with 1/2 finger-width off-white fizzy head, no lacing, no sparkle. Aroma is caramel/toffee and vanilla with notes of chocolate, dark fruits. Taste is strong toffee/caramel with berry/fruit and hint of chocolate and vanilla. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and toffee, sweet fruity finish with English hops-like dryness. Overall, a decent amount of complexity/flavor for such a low ABV.

Good citrusy aroma. Golden macrobrew color and head. Subdued citrus rind hops very drinkable and light for the style. Good palate with more carbonation than I like but it works here. I have never had logboat before but this is an impressive offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has candied ginger, sharp wheat and a nice roundness. It has a medium body thatís richer than expected and has only a light amount of carbonation. The taste is a mushy version of the aroma with a cobweb sort of thing going on. The finish has a bit more ginger popping. Decent.

Logboat Imperial March
Draft at Craft Beer Cellar-Clayton. Last bottle was purchased by the only other guy in the shop. Pours a deep, pretty much opaque dark brown with a centimeter of dense dark tan head that settles into a consistent film while leaving lace spots in the glass. The aroma is dry and dusty and fudgy, with roast, earth, dark and milk chocolate, and tobacco. Flavor of roasted malts, dark chocolate, tobacco, earth, ash, fudge, brownies, and some subtle bitterness on the finish. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, rich, roasty, bitter mouthfeel. Nicely balanced imperial stout.

Rating #3,700. Nonic pint draft at the brewery in Columbia, Missouri. The pour is a slight haze copper orange with a smallish off white head. The aroma is caramel, herbal floral and crystal malt. The taste is the caramel crystal malt along with the herbal floral hops. The finish has raw a malt dirtiness that detracts. As the beer warmed, there was a decent shot of diacetyl. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the mineral crystal malt finish. Just OK.

Draft at Gumbyís, poured from a pitcher into a pint glass. $9 for a pitcher of local IPA - yes, please. Pours a hazy orange color with a finger of white head that never quite settles all the way. Notes of stone fruit, orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel, grass, leaves - good but a bit muddled. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, muddled mouthfeel. Logboat Mamoot Mild
Tasted on tap at the 2016 Centennial Fest in a mini snifter glass. It poured a mostly clear reddish copper colour with weak off-white foam. Low but pleasant aroma. Very nice malty flavour, lots of complexity: toasty, nutty, chocolatey, hint of tart cherries. True-to-style floral/earthy/woodsy hop balance, subtle yet spot-on. Mellow, mineral water essence, but too thin body and mouthfeel. Very neutral fermentation too, where are the English ale yeast esters? Moderate carbonation, lingering grainy/toasty aftertaste. English Mild is my favourite style, and this is a good one. Room for improvements, but Iíll still drink several pints every time I find it though!

Good milds are far and few between in the United States it seems so when I noticed this on the list of pours I made a note to give it a shot. Overall it comes close to the spirit of the way things are currently done in the UK but adds a little New World. As a result it feels like a nice experiment to try once.

Aroma / Appearance - Bronze liquid fills the glass to the pour line with a fluid body. Caramel chews and fruit lift upwards with ease along with malt balls.

Flavor / Palate - Strawberries, caramel, and malt bloom into a light transition that tickles the floor of the mouth before a gentle finish. It doesnít have the same robustness as the best milds. Instead it goes for the "mild means simple" end of the spectrum. Iíd love to give it another shot on cask as I think it might give it the oomph it lacks otherwise.
