Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oat, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, light orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, pale malt, oat, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Grumbo	3.2 Hoxne Flat Cap Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Rated from historic notes, purchased around spring 2015. Poured mid-brown, slightly hazy, with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, light chocolate and yeast. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Body quite light but as expected given its low abv. Soft carbonation. Easy drinking mild, and pretty decent overall. BeerLuvver	3.5 Hoxne Suffolk Punch Better Bitter Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Pours golden colour, clear and with good head which disappears fairly quickly but leaving a nice lacing. Scent of pear drops, sucky sweets and herbs. Flavour is the same pear drop sweetness with citrus hops. Very drinkable and refreshing. Not too sweet with nice mouthfeel. Good. Slight sulfur. Flavour is quite sweet, full mouthfeel. Slightly oily. Quite heavy hops, low citrus. Malty flavours with bitter sweet finish. Filling. Thursday, February 12, 2015
