Tasty tasty brew. Well balanced sour. Smells of the sea but tastes of smooth tart lime. This one is going to find it’s way into my regular rotation. Another great beer from Dogfish.

Six pack - barely got part of last one for rate: hazy yellow-gold pour with no head. aroma of musty, salt, lime, wheat, light pepper - nice. tastes are lemon/lime, salty, cracker, grain, floral, rhubarb. light even sour. we tore through these - ultimate compliment I guess.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA

Sampled from tap at Stone Garden Berlin. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is spicy yeast, dough, black pepper, and some bananas, lemongrass. Taste is spicy, doughy, herbal-earthy, and with a bit of a peppery-boozy finish. Oily mouthfeel. Classic American Saison, it’s quite good, albeit on the spicy side.

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale
Fresh bottle from the keg ’n bottle store in San Diego. Clear ruby color. Good head. Aroma is tricky. Once the head vanishes it smells like a bud light or any other corn rice crap beer. When you stir it it smells like spices, pumpkin, cinnamon. Taste is completely different. Malty, pumpkin, spicy, cinnamon, some dark bitter fruits. Controversial beer in my opinion. Overall tasty.

Dogfish Head Flesh & Blood IPA
12 oz bottle. (Siciliano’s) Grand Rapids, MI.
Clear deep golden color with a small white head. Lemon bitterness, caramel sweetness, sugar and some hoppiness in the aroma. The flavor is lemony, grapefruity, and resiny hops, bitterness, tartness and caramel malty sweetness. Good elements, not so good outcome.

Aroma: spicy and funky; dry; Appearance: cloudy yellow pour with thin white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: lightly spicy with bready-cerealy finish more like a lager; Palate: light bodied with long, spicy finish; Overall: okay but not my favorite style. Would not get again.

Bottle. Orange in colour, nice white head. Aroma of biscuits and flowers. In taste quite malty with huge hoppy, citrusy counter. Medium body, moderate carbonation, dry and bitter finish. Nice beer, nothing shocking but Europe do not get fresh bottles, very fresh probably would be much better.

Hazy yellow pour with small white head. Aroma of malts, citrus, wheat, limes, grains and slight vinegar. Taste of malts, lime, lemon, wheat, yeast, grains, slight caramel and a shot of sea salt. Light bodied, medium carbonation, perfectly balanced. Everything came together perfect in this, very good summer beer and very sessionable.

On draught at WOB High Street during the "Dogfish Head 120 Minute Tapping" on 08/30/2016. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of citrus, spice and malt. Light-bodied with a salty lime character and notes of spice and malt. The finish is mildly tart with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA
(12oz bottle, Beijing) AROMA: sour, yoghurt, sweet hops, sweet corn/grain, barbecue sauce, smoke, dried fruit, touch of tobacco. APPEARANCE: medium amber orange, a bit cloudy, creamy off-white head, quite sticky. TASTE: smooth and kinda fruity upfront, followed by a burst of flavor and a fair amount of bitterness, can taste the alcohol but not in a bad way (seems in balance with the flavor and mouth feel ... I’m guessing as this breaths a bit, it will get better), different flavor (hops?) than most typical IPAs, some caramel, dried fruits, pine, almost a liqueur taste to it, so it is sweet-sour-then dry-with residual sweetness under the tongue. PALATE: Full bodied, oily, complex, long bitter finish. OVERALL: A very good beer and a good IPA that does not only focus on hops. It is a well-rounded IPA with interesting sweet and sour notes, so some hardcore IPA fans may not rave over it. I like the complexity and interesting balance of unique flavors. As I said, a very good beer, and if they could find the middle ground between this and a standard over-hopped IPA, they would have the perfect beer.

Bottle. Amber in colour, white and small head. Aroma is malty with light fruitiness, not much of hops left just some pine, finish is oaky. Full bodied, the beer is medium sweet with caramel, biscuits and solid bitterness. Oily texture, soft carbonation, light warming effect in finish. Really good Barleywine-ish beer.

Piney hops with citrus overtones, toasted malt backing. Thinking I had an old bottle; the hops seemed faded, the malts a bit too pronounced for such a legendary IPA.Very drinkable, though, with a smooth, crisp feel.

Purchased at Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids, MI; enjoyed at home after running a half marathon and eating an entire frozen pizza. Appearance is a nice rubyish orange hue with a rich white head. Aroma is very citrusy with grapefruit notes. Taste is interesting, lightly tart, blood orange is a central ingredient, somewhat juice like. Happy to have had this.

Pour is a hazy straw with a large white head. Aroma is lime juice citrus tartness. Flavor is more citrus fruit with accompanying tart sourness. Kind of one dimensional as this is pretty much all tart citrus juice but it is quite refreshing on a hot day.

Immer noch britisch und pragisch, genau wie das 60 minute. Wieder vom Hahn in der STONE BREWERY BERLIN vernascht. Probierschluck for free ☺ . Das Ganze wieder mit allem erdig würzigen Charmebrocken gerüstet die wir so sehr lieben. Allerdings wird hier noch eine gekonnt eingesetzt Süße reingefeuert. Muss ich noch mal aus der Bulle probieren.

Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA (Cask/Bottle)
Bottle. Pours hazy, with large suspended sediment, frothy, lasting head with decent lacing. Can’t taste or smell the maple-and I’m from Vermont, well balanced, appropriate but lingering carbonation, light to medium body, sticky sweet and lightly bitter finish. Not terribly exciting, probably won’t have it again.

Clear orange, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is heavily spiced with notes of orange, pepper, Belgian yeast, sugar, alcohol. Medium bodied, moderate alcohol, spiced flavors dominate with a peppery finish. Comes off as *extremely* American style, but it’s well made for what it’s trying to be.

Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is a surprisingly sweet malty mix of honey, dark fruits, grassy and pine hops, and, of course, alcohol. Flavor is rich caramel, honey, and stone fruits with a bitter bite from grassy, citrus, and pine hops. This brew is a continually crosses the line between malt sweetness and bitter hops, while alcohol maintains its warm presence.

Dogfish Head / Victory / Stone Saison du BUFF
12 ounce bottle from Sonoma Cellars in Delavan, WI, sampled at cellar temp from a Unibroue glass. Big pop when the cap is lifted and foam fills the glass, receding ever-so-slowly and leaving thick chunks on the sides above a cloudy light gold body...herbal-spicy aroma is sweeter than I’d expect (well, maybe not from this brewery) and at first it’s sort of a morass of herbs, but eventually I can certainly pick out the sage and rosemary, and I think a sort of raisiny character as well...thankfully not quite as sweet on the tongue as the nose promised, with spices fairly well integrated into the pale malty body; little bitterness...body is just a bit on the thin/watery side, carbonation tingly and just enough. This is a bit too sweet for what (I think) it’s supposed to be, but it’s drinkable enough and better I think as it warms. I’d be interested to try the Victory and Stone versions, guess I’ll be on the lookout now.

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA
Gently-hazed late-sunset-gold pour with small head. Rich dried apricot and sweet malt nose, a bit of a chemical-y note that blurs into a soapy florality. Flavor starts piney and sweet, some herbaceousness, caramel, apricot and orange. Full, viscous body. A bit more on the barleywine side than an IPA. Headache-inducing, but different than expected.

Dogfish Head Fall on Me
Draft at Snallygaster 2016. Poured a clear orange color with a small off-white head. Smells like a standard special release of a Dogfish Head beer. There’s that light sweetness in there that isn’t unpleasant, but just feels like it didn’t have a chance to finish fermenting. Just a touch too malt-forward sweetness here. Light apple juice. Light spices. If it makes it to bottles or I see it on tap again, I might try this one again just to see if I wasn’t really in the mood for it at the time.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a nice-looking deep dark orange with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grapes and tropical fruit along with some hops and light vegetal notes. Flavour’s also fruity along with an odd (to me) hop profile and an average bitter finish -- just O.K. Alcohol is well hidden. Average to medium bodied. A bit disappointing, just good overall.

Rating #2162 - 2015.11.12 - Bottle from BevMo - Pours a golden color. thin head. Unreal aroma of honey, white wine, saffron. Lots of sweetness, soft fruit, peach, grape tempered with the floral honey and the spice of the saffron Blown away, this is a challenging beer to deconstruct in terms of depth of character and complexity.
