Blue Point Toasted Lager
Smooth and good taste but it didn’t hit me as a great beer. Guess I was expecting something with a more toasted flavor, instead this is just a good lager.

Pours up amber with a healthy off-white head. The aroma is faint caramel, and bread. The taste is bread, toffee, a bit toasted, and a hint of hops. Nice carbonation. This is simple but flavorful.

Blue Point Armchair Nitro Stout
Nitro Draft. Full creamy lasting head on a black liquid. Aroma is old coffee grind, decent amount of chocolate.

This is the perfect example of a dry Irish stout. The chocolate is a tad bolder then I have found in other dry stouts. The body is lighter with a dry roasted finish. No problem or issues to report. Exactly as you would anticipate.

Blue Point Sour Cherry Imperial Stout
This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin messy lacing running all around the glass. Moderate light filmy lacing glosses all about. The smell starts off with a sly roasty chocolate and then leads to a slight sticky sweet to sour cherry. Subtle sticky tart. Some roastiness. The flavor leans towards a nice balance between the sour, the sweet and the roastiness. Pulls the chocolate sweetness more than adequately. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. Sour-ness is super tame. So....some stickiness ends up coming across in the feel, but acceptable at least to me. Overall, as an Imperial stout this one works. The so-called "sour cherry" may just end up leaning towards the "sweeter side." Did I have this too late? Hmmmm...wishing they would have put on dates on the bottle.

Blue Point Rastafa Rye Ale
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle that is dated 01/27/2016. Amber-orange colored pour with OK clarity and a modest white head that fades. Busy carbonation. This bottle is about six months old so I am getting more of a stale malt character than rye or grain. It is there some but it has generally faded over the months. Low to no hop profile. Medium body. The taste is more of a stake malt bomb with a slight semi-dry bitterness to end. I need a fresher one next time. That’s the problem with buying mixed packs on sale at grocery stores.

Blue Point Oatmeal Stout
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated 01/21/2016. It has an opaque, dark brown pour with a quick lasting off-white head. The aroma espouses a bit of chocolate, a bit of oatmeal but a low hop profile. If any. The body is on the thin side. The taste brings out the same chocolate and oatmeal notes with an okay milky sweetness. Finishes mostly clean. I know it was 90 degrees today so a Stout may seem out of season but it came in a mixed 12 pack.

Blue Point No Apologies Imperial IPA
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated 01/20/16. Good looking amber-orange colored pour with a lasting but small white head. Busy carbonation. This is over 6 months old so many of the hops I expected may have faded but so did the 10% booze. I got some spicy characters, fruity and orange characters, and bready malts. Medium or better body. The taste is still very bitter after all this time with a lingering and somewhat dry finish. No booze in the flavor either. I’d like to try a fresher one some time to see if my opinion changes.

Blue Point Toasted Lager
A nicely made lager, but it doesn't strike me as fantastic or heads above all others. It 's good enough for a pint or two when you seek that special lager taste. Not great, but better than "not bad." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Blue Point Summer Ale
Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is a neutral dull malt with a little lemon zest in there. Flavor is again the same some grainy malt with a ever so slight citrus zest. The perfect example of a beer that has nothing wrong with it but it is also not one thing to get excited about as well.

Blue Point Spring Fling
Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a nice bready malt with a bit of caramel and tobacco. Reminds me of a English ale so far. Flavor is a bt more sweet with a chewy caramel some old hops and a bit of vegetable aftertaste. This started off well but kind of went downhill with the flavor. This is a few months old so maybe more of the hops would show up if drank earlier in the year.

It pours amber with a bit of cooper. It has a moderate white head with low head retention. It is clear overall. It has aromas of citrus and caramel which are fairly well balanced. It has caramel flavors with citrus and toast. The balance is slightly towards the malt. It has a moderate feel in which the sweet caramel and bitter citrus into the finish. Overall, it is a slight malt balanced lager with a moderate bitter sweet finish.

Blue Point Blueberry Ale
APPEARANCE- medium-dark golden color, light head is gone quickly and the faintest lacing remains. NOSE- strong scent of blueberry while pouring. In the chilled glad, I don’t get so much scent to it. FLAVOR- very light ale without too much character. Not much blueberry flavors. Good news is that the light ale flavor doesn’t overpower the little blueberry flavor there is. I get a bit of blueberry aftertaste as well. NOTES- well balanced for a blueberry ale. I would prefer a little more ’beer’ flavor though.
