BridgePort Stumptown Tart Cherry Saison
Bomber into a pint glass. Pours a clear light amber, with a medium white head. Nose is sour cherries. Taste follows, with some grassy notes in the middle. Not very tart, and just a touch of cherry flavor. Inoffensive version of a saison, but lacking the typical Belgian yeast flavors.

I love the flavor of the wheat and oats. It’s a good beer, just needs to be stronger by a lot.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is some orange but with a large sweetness. Kind of reminds me is a orange jolly rancher. Flavor is more of the orange with a very soft mouth feel. This is pretty darn sweet for an IPA with Vienna malt. I thinking they just used a lots artificial orange sweetener to get the alcohol where they wanted it. Not very hoppy just a sweet orangey mess.

BridgePort Stumptown CandyPeel IPA
A mediocre, fruit hop heavy IPA. Less "fresh" tasting than it is sweet. Orange peel in the aroma. Medium bodied.

BridgePort Hop Czar Imperial IPA
Hazy deep gold, almost an orange-like hue, with a creamy foamy top. Big earthy and grassy hop bitterness on the aroma with a little bitter orange peel as well. Earthy and grassy leafy flavor with some earthy citric pithy bitterness, but then all the sudden there’s this orange/grapefruit sweetness and a pale malty backbone.

BridgePort Hop Czar Imperial IPA
Bottle shared with a co-worker. Poured a clear orange color, though sediment really picked up on this one pretty quickly. Aroma was maltier than I would have expected, but a nice citrus character really comes through on it. Lots of floral hop leaf notes. Light chewy character. Grapefruit zest is nice. This had been in the co-worker’s fridge for almost a year and was still pretty solid - would like to try it fresh.

BridgePort Stumptown CandyPeel IPA
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a bright white, mixed-grained, solid head. Nose is Nose is candied orange slices, vanilla, lime, and grapefruit, but the nose dissipates very quickly. On the tongue, it’s lime, orange, strawberry, and kiwi; definitely a lot of fruit going on, along with a definite hops bitterness in the front of the mouth. There is some burnt sugar malt present to try to add some foundation to all the high end acidic flavors. Finish is short and a little dirty. It’s interesting, and different; a few flaws, but overall good.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

BridgePort Stumptown Tart Cherry Saison
Bomber from Safeway in Seaside. Aroma is cherry pie (pits and flesh of the fruit), generic beer, cinnamon. Pours bright copper with an off-white head. Taste is lightly tart cherry, spices. I don’t smell or taste any Belgian influence. How hard is that for a brewer to use a little Belgian yeast in such a Belgian style? That being said, it does taste pretty good.

BridgePort Stumptown CandyPeel IPA
355ml bottle. This one shocked me with it’s unsuckiness. It shows some persistence pays off with these typically shitty breweries. It has the terroir of bridgeport but it is nice, nice citrus peel aroma, flavor is herbal hops, fairly malty but somewhat dry. Good stuff.

7oz sampler from Beer Snobs in Hartland. Golden orange pour. Very sweet nose, candied fruit, initially piney/fruity hoppy. Citrus in the taste, led by oranges. Shrug? The sweet candy overwhelmed, even in a short pour. 13.2
