Kind of fruit smell over hop kind of rotten smell. Hazy orange thin head. Kind of a bitter candy citrus flavor to the hop, nice balance found by the end. Leaves moth feeling you just sucked on a sucker.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Thin sweetish malts, some malt cream. Good citric hop - floral tangerine and lemon. Light finish. Tasty enough.

BridgePort Hop Czar Imperial IPA
Small bottle from a 24 variety pack, bought at Costco in Marysville, WA. An orange amber beer with moderate white head and faint beer nose. At first the heavy hop note is delightful, but then one realizes that the malt is insufficient. Not well balanced. 3.4

BridgePort Stumptown Tart Cherry Saison
Bottle from Brewers Haven. Light pink body, tiny airy head. Aroma equal parts funk and cherry cough drops. Taste is more of the candy sweetness fake cherry flavor. Minor Saison notes, but not enough to overcome the too sweet flavor. Not tart at all.

BridgePort Stumptown Tart Cherry Saison
This was poured into a nonic and treated as a fruit beer. The appearance was a glossy to burnt golden/semi-bronzed orange to amber color with a fair dissipation to a soft white head. No lacing. The aroma started off with a soft tart to sweet authentic cherry flavor over top of some light sweet freshly cut grass. The flavor was basically the same with the low riding sweet grassiness coming in for a nice balance. Lingering sweet to tart cherry flavor rolling into the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation rides nice and light with a crisp refreshing feel about it. Overall, it works as a fruit beer, though I see Bridgetown is saying saison, sorry, guys, I don’t see the other qualities, but good for what it is. Me, I could have it again for me, could make a nice dessert beer.

Tap at Petition - Solid saison - could go heavier with the sour cherries but pretty happy with the overall balance - nice palate cleanser.

1/2" white head.. only a little lacing.. atop a slightly hazy orange copper colored brew. English hops dominate the nose with an above average yeasty fruitiness. Toasted pale and caramel malts are also very evident. Flavor is assertive... low carbonation with good mouthfeel... good bitter backbone and spicy/earthy hop flavors with fruit yeast notes and a touch of diacetyl.. Very balanced.

Nice long lasting head that drops leaving sheets of lacing... color is a clear polished chesnut. Smells "English". Light brown and caramel malts with a touch of diacetyl ... fruity esters are present and fairly out front. Flavor is pretty much all toasted malts.. fairly heavy on the toasted malts.. the ale fruitiness is ever present... lighter than expected caramel.. earthy hop flavor.

Draft pour on nitro. Normally the beers I’ve tried on nitro are better than their non-nitro versions, but not this time. It was incredibly smooth to drink, but it was to the point that it barely had any carbonation, so it tasted flat. Also in this particular version, while the malts showed through, you could barely taste any hops.

Almost no head on top of pretty dark brown brew. No lacing to speak of. Smell is like most run of the mill PNW winter ales (I think I need to change things up). Caramel, roasted and toasted malts with enough hops (citrusy) to balance while still making it feel "warm". Taste is again pretty standard ... still pretty good though. raisins and rum cake... nice and warming ... definately makes me think of Christmas.

It has been a time since I have experienced an offering that brought the malt forward like this. An experience that is sadly becoming rarer and rarer in this day of hop overindulgence... There is a hint of freshly baked biscuits in this bottle. A very nice beer that will be imbibed upon again.

Decent aroma of bread, cereal and a hint of citrus. I like that the beer is a hazy, unfiltered amber orange color. Minimal head. Not overly sweet, or bitter, kind of in the middle. Reminds me of a liquid tangerine Jolly Rancher. It’s not a bad beer, just given the quality of IPAs in the market right now, there are way too many other better choices.

Bomber poured into a tulip glass: slightly hazy, golden orange honey color with about an inch of dense, off-white foam, disappearing rather quickly with no lace. Nose has cherry, some barn funk, honey. The flavor has a touch of sweet tart, some biscuit, acidity, and hoppy twang. The finish is a bit sour and acidic. Medium, creamy, effervescent.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours orange gold with a white head. Tart cherry aroma - but not strongly so. Med minus body. Flavor is malty and has some tart cherry. Just a bit phenolic. It’s ok, but not as cherry as expected. Still, it’s growing on me.

12 oz bottle from Bend Oregon, consumed nearby. No date Apricot colored body with a hedgehogs size, durable, bone-colored head. Exceptional lacing. More orange peel than candy, this IPA has near average bitterness and is far from sweet. Interesting herbal-citrus aroma. Lingering, hoppy aftertaste with near moderate bitterness.

Tap at OBF 2016. Pours gold with a white head. It has that cream ale aroma - reminding me of vanilla cream soda just a bit - which may only be a thing with the name. Med body or nearly. Flavor is sort of malty with that smooth cream thing. Maybe white grape? Pale fruits? Flavor is not extreme, but it is nice.

Bottle pours a hazy dark yellow with a very thin white head and virtually no lacing. Smells of potting soil and light lemon. Not a lot of flavor here but what there is tastes good, light and smooth yet full bodied. Seems a bit over-carbonated. Has a two-stage aftertaste, disappears quickly then comes back again.

BridgePort Raven Mad Imperial Porter
22 oz bottle into a goblet. Pours a dark brown. looking opaque and near black in the glass. A moderate size, durable tan head leaves a temporary but full coat of lacing on the glass. Aroma: a clear touch of whisky here; dark roasted grains with a slight hint of burnt malt. Some dark fruit and roasted nut notes. Flavor:disappointing, given the aroma, mainly due to an overbearing contribution from wood (oak?). Whisky mainly appears in the finish and aftertaste. Plenty of dark roasted malts, subtle dark fruit notes, and a hint of sour fruit. Mouthfeel: medium body and carbonation. Overall: too woody to recommend.
