Triple fff Citra Sonic 3.2
Bottle. Bright bronze with a fine white collar. Good juicy Fruit Salad chew, overripe melon and lychee aroma flecked with nuttier, slight farmyard and dank pollen elements. Rustic and homemade with bitter husk and flowers over fizzy aggressive blackcurrant and coffee. Dirty-clean. Peanut husk linger, some neat cordial. Flawed but likeable.

Triple fff Alton’s Pride 3
Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, some toasted malts, slight red berries, a little peach and earthy hops. Taste of caramel, slight red berries, a little peach, maybe subtle lemon and musky, earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, lingering, slightly citrusy, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Quite a simple malty bitter but with a lot more bitterness than most beers this strength. Decent.

Medium body and sot carbonation. Pretty decent.

Triple fff Rock Lobster 3.1
Up to 5% now. Dark-ish bitter with a strong citrus character and a competing flavour of (very) sweet malt. All finished with a typically sharp and bitter aftertaste. Citrus is not really my thing and somehow the beer doesn’t seem to balance out that well although I’m sure plenty of drinkers will find it more to their taste than I did.

Mid-amber and served (where I tried it anyway) with a thick creamy head. Flavours of hay and biscuit with bittering hops in balance. Not the most adventurous of recipes but it does well what it was designed to do. Nice.
