Silver City Ridgetop Red Ale
Can: dark whiskey color. Sweet notes throughout. Aftertaste resembles flat Dr. Pepper. That sounds gross, but it melds well with the lighter hop flavor.

Silver City Fat Scotch Ale - Bourbon Barrel
Pours a deep dark brown with a wispy tan head that dissipates rapidly, and almost no lacing. Smell of peat, bourbon, and burnt toffee. Taste is strong, thick, peat, bourbon, and malts. Ends strong and a little tangy.

Silver City Old Scrooge - Bourbon Barrel
Bottle in Seattle. Clear, leather brown-copper. Red. Over barreled oak, vanilla, rich body. Intense flavors, full round body. Lots of alcohol, Jack+Coke, lots of cola. Over the top. Finely made for their intent, but not for me.

Silver City Solar Sister Triple Wheat IPA
Draught at Brouwerís Cafť, Seattle
Hazy amber color, generous head. Aroma of orange and butter. Very sweet, some malt flavor, fudge, sweet oranges, and some butter again. Warming alcohol, but not boozy. With all this diacetyl, this is quite seriously flawed, although I can still drink it.

12 oz can poured, left over from Eugeneís Memorial Day party. Still quite fresh. Thanks for the can! This seemed like a fitting choice to start today off. Itís not quite 11 am, and itís already 80į out. Traveling to Florida this week, but itís plenty hot up here in the PNW. The sun on this can sums out this weekend for sure. Hazy golden pour with a loose bubble head. Pleasant grain aroma. Flavor is a touch of sweet, but mostly a light refreshing beer to drink outside. This beer is a good indicator that summer more or less began this weekend. Try to say Ziggy Zoggy Zwickel five times fast. If you can do it, Iíll buy you one. Overall, this was delicious.

Silver City St. Florian IPA
On tap at Anthonyís SeaTac. Pours a clear orange amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a strong pine note with a bit of bitter citrus and a light sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a combination of bitter and citrus with pine and a bit of bread supporting.

Been looking for this one for a year. OH MY. gold pour lots of foam. Aroma honey malt, some grassy hops. Tastes pils, honey, big grass, tangy deep flavor, but not enough carb and yeah this is harsh.

Silver City Old Scrooge - Bourbon Barrel
500mL capped bottle shared by Andrew. This is what I call a whiskey scented malt beer. Itís sweet malts ,tea malts, and definitely barrel aged. Itís not over the top or offensive. I like the lack hops. But itís basically a beer that was interesting 10 years ago.

Silver City Old Scrooge - Bourbon Barrel
Bottle pour, 2014 vintage. Pours a clear ruby copper color with a foam head. Aroma with rough wine and oak. Super sweet. Flavor is smooth mostly. Vanilla, rye and oak up front. Sweet vanilla, sugar linger late. Too much sweet. Too much caramel. Too much whiskey. Too much barrel. Dry finish. Not bad, but everything was turned to volume 11.

Silver City Fat Woody Scotch Ale
Serving: from tap at Red Papaya Ale & Spirits. Aroma: light malt. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully lasting longevity. Clear, dark-amber body. Taste: heavily sweet, date-like initial flavor and heavily sweet, woody, date-like finish with long duration. Palate: medium-to-full body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation. Overall: this is the only sweet beer I can remember liking.

12oz can, dated 138th day of 2016, which is May 17th, so very fresh. I bought this only because I realized its a zwickel, who would of guessed. Also, I was having a Memorial Day party, so a sixer at $8 for a fresh unfiltered lager is indeed a worthy purchase. Clear, dim golden color. Clean beer, a little malt sweetness but very earthy unfiltered lager with light noble hoppiness. Surprisingly well done beer.

Oh, yeah. Draft poured into a pimp cup then wrapped in gangsta rap and consumed in Bed-Sty. Well, not really but beat that Andrew. Heck, I love WA brewed malt likka. A little appley, a little corn sweet but damn good for the style. Of course, this is a baby malt likka at less 7abv. If I had to drink a malt likka it would be the Naked City version. If I had to drink a malt likka and drive, this would be my huckleberry.

Silver City St. Florian IPA
Bottle poured into pilsner glass. Pours a light copper. Has a two finger white head that dissipates at a normal rate. Ideal lacing. Smells citrus and fruit, very appealing. Taste mimics the aroma well. The aftertaste isnít quite as nice although the bitterness feels just right. A really well put together front and middle but seems closer to average on the back end.

Bomber via trade, thanks AK. Poured a thinner body of bright gold with a piss foam bright white head. Aroma/flavor of corn and rice, light alcohol, sort of harsh, green grapes and glue. Body is medium but with soft carbonation it comes off as watery. Pretty good for what this is though.

Silver City Whoop Pass Double IPA
Bomber @ SEA Doubletree. Nice piney aroma. Clear, Light amber color with thick white head that lasts a while. Little lacing. Clean taste with pleasant bitterness. A little piney, and part citrusy. Med bodied and creamy, due to high carbonation. Overall a pretty good IPA, that doesnít taste as boozy as the alcohol content.

Draft pour pint to a glass mug, then wrapped in a brown paper bag, per my request. Iím all about proper pours and glassware. Or paperware if you must. Lighter pale golden color with not much head. Malt and soft sweet aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, bit somehow finds a way to be inoffensive. Technically, isnít all beer malt liquor? I still donít get it. Until then, for all beers that get labeled this way, this one tasted better than any that I can remember. I wonder of craft malt liquor will be a thing.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate caramel, toffee, and apple. It pours a transparent dark amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate caramel and toffee. There is some light fruit in the middle. The finish has light apple and some mild earthy hops. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, itís good...but a tad sweet for my preferences.

8oz draft at Chuckís CD. Caramel or light brown banana is most prominent aspect. Interesting for a Scotch ale. Lightly woodsy, no hoppiness, light bodied, no oak or wood aspects. I like it but I would never call it a Scotch Ale.

Silver City Imperial Stout - Bourbon Barrel
500mL bottle, pours black with a small beige / tan head. Aroma brings out charred barrels, smoky bourbon, a little coffee, roasted malt and glue. Flavour brings out lots of bourbon, glue, and an oaky chemically note. Pretty hot and abrasive without being undrinkable. The glue is prominent. Not good.

Silver City Citra Wet Hop Pale Ale
22 oz bottle, served in a tulip glass. Pours bright light golden with medium fluffy white head that laces well. Aroma is mild pale malt; earthy, oaky hops. Taste is clean, light, lightly sweet caramel malt; hops are light, earthy, and dank. Does not taste particularly fresh... Very drinkable and tasty pale, or lighter IPA, just doesnít stand out as much as you might hope for a fresh hopped IPA.

The bottle I had was cellar aged for over a year, mellowing out the hope bitterness to let the malt really come through. Lots of fruit flavor in this beer, especially that of cherries and apricots, apples to a lesser extent. The beer pours a deep, rich copper, almost ruby red with an ephemeral, lacey white head that clings to the side of the glass. The aromas o fruit tell no lie, as they are up front in the taste, but slowly yield to the caramel malts and a hint of chocolate. A month finish makes this barley wine style beer one of the best dessert beers.

On tap at Brouwerís Cafe, pours a cloudy nearly opaque dark orangey brown with a medium white head. Aroma is hugely abrasive with notes of perfume, resinous hops, some medicinal notes and diacetyl. Flavour is quite off-putting, with an almost sour kind of medicinal quality, some resins in there, diacetyl and perfumey notes. Really off the mark - very abrasive shit.

Silver City Imperial Stout
22 oz. bottle from the Northgate Total Wine. Seems like theyíve come out with new labels for most, if not all, of their beers. The 1st thing I smell, when I smell this beer, is Great Divideís Yeti. In fact, looking at a lot of the Yeti clone recipes, I see similar ingredients. Iíd imagine that the recipes are close, hence the very curious similarities between the two beers in all attributes. The aroma is quite pungent, and great smelling: roast, hints of ash, chocolate, licorice, pine, and syrup. The flavor is much the same, as the aforementioned. Thereís a bit of a pronounced piny bitterness at first, but then it settles to a nice sweet chocolate roast flavor. Thereís a lingering bitterness that holds, but it blends well with the sweetness to balance it all out. Where I think Yeti wins, however, is the texture. The texture here isnít that of Yetiís, and I prefer Yetís texture a little more. The pour isnít as inky, either, but this is still a solid, roast-forward imperial stout. Good stuff.

A decent beer, but a bit one note. Pours a very nice ruby red with little head. Smells of cherry and cider. Taste is similar, like smooth cherry cider, with white wine, some Jolly Rancher, vanilla and a sweet finish. Would be good with seafood. Had in the bottle.
