2 Brass Belgium Lager 330ml capped plastic bottle. Clear bright yellow beer with a medium disappearing white head. Sweet corn malts, wet cardboard and somewhat soapy aromas on the nose. Flavour is sweet with a low hop bitterness and abrupt finish. Light-medium bodied with a watery texture. Like your average Mexican-style pale lager - absolutely nothing "Belgian" about this beer. 1.9 Brass Belgium Pilsener Capped brown plastic bottle (330ml). Bright yellow body with a thin white head of short duration. Aroma of sweet grainy malts with a very light grassy hop presence. Taste is similar with a medium-light body and lowish carbonation. Thin oily texture. Lacks the dry finish and hop bitterness of any half decent pilsner. Wednesday, June 13, 2012

2.5 Brass Belgium Pilsener The all classy PET bottle. Feel a little guilty in even buying it, so have a soft spot for these no brand beers. Unexcited release once the cap came off; almost still in the glass. Medium gold and mostly bright with fine floaties caught in suspension. Clean, spiced hop and gentle toasted malt nose. Quite gritty, husky, dry and barnyard-like with a late burnt note coming through. Sweet, starchy start, pasty in feel with a light body and soft carbonation. Drawn lemon zest, light flowery hops, dried green herbs and mild spice. Finish has a shy crispness, is uneventful, drabby, heavy in the stomach. Cereal grain flavour dominates, tastes of breakfast but is watery. Not much to it. Got through it alright, survived! (33cL, BB 23/05/12, Dan Murphy’s Currambine) Friday, March 2, 2012

2.1 Brass Belgium Pilsener 330ml bottle. Looks a bit better that the lager with a light gold colour and decent sized head of pure white foam. Lots of grain in the aroma And there is some sweetness in the flavour which is not that bad Tuesday, February 28, 2012

1.3 Brass Belgium Lager 330ml bottle. This pours very pale amber with a thin layer of sudsy looking white foam. Looks quite dreadful. The aroma is almost non existent except for some hay like aromas. He flavour fares no better as it is thin in the mouth and leaves nothing on the palate. Not sure if the plastic bottle had any impact on this beer but it is quite horrid. 2.8 Brass Belgium Lager Big sudsy mess of white atop a bright, medium gold body with irregular, soda-pop carbonation. Drabs a thick film of white down the glass as it empties. Very grainy, rich and sweet malt nose with hints of chaff and dried mown grass. Quite sweet again in the mouth, backbone of toasted malts, a light coloured nutty praline note comes in there as is an odd hint of bacon and light, zingy herbs. Quite light on, oily in mouthfeel with light carbonation. Finishes slightly soapy and very short with a dash of shy hoping. Not much bitterness but at least it has hops, suppose. Overall, an average offering from a non-existent brewery. (33cL, 4.7% ABV, BB 23/05/12, Dan Murphy’s Bunbury) Monday, February 13, 2012

2 Brass Belgium Pilsener 330ml brown PET bottle. Very pale orange with a white head. Faint aroma of grain, grass, herbs. Taste is slightly sweet and grainy with modest bitterness. Some herbal and lemon notes. Not very good but not dire. Wednesday, January 4, 2012
