Cascade / Cider Riot! Rising Tide 3.6
Live barrel at the House of Sour. Pours a crystal clear and very dark crimson with no head or lace. Big dry nose, showing tannic blackberries and black currents, very cuttingly dry. Creamy medium body, completely still. Berry and currant mid palate, not showing much barrel or beer/yeast character, but very pleasant and drinkable. Interesting change from the fruit showcases in so many Cascade ales, which are usually so juicy and drenching; this one is ultra-dry.

Cascade Big Paw Paw 3.8
Live barrel at House of Sour. Pours a hazy pale gold with a loose white head. Mild nose, showing soft sweet cereal and a light airy fruit note. Creamy medium body that fades to lightness in spots, with soft carb. Lightly sweetened cereal notes with very soft fruit, lighter than any melon that comes to mind. Gentle finish. Refreshing and beautiful.

Cascade / The Rare Barrel Forces Unknown 4.2
Tap at House of Sour. Pours a hazy dark gold with a loose white head that lasts. Big soft sweet balanced nose of lemon with minerals and cherries/figs hovering in the distance. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Nice balance of ferment character out front, soft mineral, and light fruit character in the background on the mid palate. Mild sweet finish. This one kept showing up at our table over and over again--so easy to come back to.

Cascade Glueh Kriek 4
Tap at the House of Sour. Pours a murky dark crimson with a gigantic foamy pinkish head that falls away as soon as you take a couple sips. Big chunks of fruit floating around on top, and those tend to hold a little bit of head for the life of the beer. Big tangy sharp sweet/sour pie cherry nose, accented by the warm orange and apple slices floating around. Very much like a super-fruity tart mulled cider, which...might be more or less the best way to describe this. Creamy medium body with essentially no carb. Tangy sweet/tart pie cherry mid palate. Very easy to knock back in large quantities. Tart finish.

Cascade Blackcap Raspberry 4
My Bottom Line:
The authentic juiciness of this raspberry ale is met by refreshing acidity in this very efficient creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the blood red with pink hues.
-Acidity levels are rather high, but this remains very engaging.
-The quiet carbonation helps showcase the fruit even more.
-This is one Cascade brew which is actually worth the high asking price.

Bottle.

Cascade Noyaux 4.7
Lactic sour aroma with apricot, raspberry and oaky Woody. Taste is Woody and oaky with the sour maybe 5 or 6 of 10 lactic. Not overpowering sour but still very sour. Super complex. Not sweet. Great raspberry and apricot flavors in there but balanced well with the sour and oaky flavors. Dry oaky finish. Maybe a bit too Woody and oaky but overall awesome sour. Almost borders on a dry rose wine that has been soured in a weird way. But so tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

sjogro
Cascade Strawberry 3.7
Big bottle shared at Mrk’s. Cloudy amber with light red hue. Old strawberries, woodglue, apple vinegar, straw, strawberry lemonade, sour milk. Strong sour with some sweet fruitiness but most of all a medicinal/industrial flavor of glue. Smooth light texture with subtle sparkly champagney carbonation. The funk is strong in this one.

Cascade Strawberry 3.6
Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Slight hazy orange golden with big cream colored head that lasts about 5 seconds. Wild strawberries, yoghurt, some funk and wood, aceton, wood glue, band aids, cotton, lactic acid, sour red berries, light green leaves and unripe walnuts. Medium sour and light sweet. Medium bodied with fizzy though not very strong carbonation. It’s interesting and enjoyable, but the aceton/glue should really not be there.

sulawang
Cascade Apricot Ale 3
Visual: Hefty bottle, twisty wire cap and composite cork. Bottle-conditioned. Pours clear amber with a smallish head, a thin layer of retention, clusters of steady micro streams. Nose: fruity peach-apricot mixed with puke. (lvl-8)-pungency Attack: immediate heavy tartness, intense puckery sour, fizzy Mid-palate: continuous acidic sour, (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) fruit vinegar, apricot, apple juice, pukey, woody oak Finish: tart, candy tangy, residual sour fruity finish. Summary: Goes down better with salty food, and caution to those who have a stomach sensitive to acidic food. Very taxing on the palate and a slow sipper. It has decent flavours and body but the sourness is just too over-the-top for me.

Pours red, not much foam. Rasberry is not too strong, has fresh feel to it. Taste is tart, rasberry strong and also full of acid, not really sweet, more in the dry end of things. Overall, comparatively simple but nice refreshing finish for a really sour evening.

UXO
Cascade Mouton Rouge 4.2
Appearance: nearly opaque brown with red-tinged amber-brown highlights, short off-white head that rapidly settles to a thick cap, minimal lacing. (4/5) Aroma: tart red berries, woody, vinous red grape, vinegar and soya sauce, tobacco and leather, light funk. (9/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high tart. (8/10) Palate: medium body, moderate-low carbonation, dry tart finish. (4/5) Call it an “NW style sour ale” if you like, call it an “American Wild,” doesn’t much matter: this is a Flanders red. And a darned good one, at that. Massive fruity tart, red wine and leather, with a hint of umame, oaky and dry finish. Really, really nice (if not the “blood red” of the label). (17/20)
