Leadmill Slumdog
Handpull cask at the Angry Bee, Heanor. Light to mid-gold and clear with a foamy white head and a fair bit of lacing. Overripe tropical fruit, some stone fruit jam, a touch of sulfur in the aroma. Sweet taste with citrus rind and a little bit of papaya with a finish loaded with agave nectar and grapefruit. Great stuff, hard to pin down but none the worse for it.

Leadmill American Girl
Cask at the Redemption Ale House, Heanor. Light to medium gold with very little head. Pungent nectarine, mango and pink grapefruit in the aroma. It's a nicely balanced beer in the mouth, the heavily hopped character lends it a bitterness that gives the finish an almost medicinal character. More grapefruit in the aftertaste. Weighty body for the ABV with soft carbonation. Well done.

Leadmill Slumdog
Cask at Merton Beer Festival Saturday 28th February 2015. It is interesting that Glen mentions peach as I wrote pours golden with a peachy/apricot hue and white bubbles atop. Aroma is a little sweet maltiness with some cereal and a tiny hint of sulphour maybe just a hint. Sweet and malty in the mouth. Some squishy fruit a little tropical edge, good but a little flabby and not as crisp as I would like. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. This beer had a distinct caramel character from the start and throughout. Smooth, some bitter sweet notes, peachy alcohol notes. It’s ok.

Leadmill Fluffer
Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. Initially there is a caramalt masking to this, drying rather than sweet thankfully. A hoppy bitterness emerges, a little resinous, spruce like, perhaps floral, I didn’t pin them down as Citra hops though. Dry, bitterness on the close. Decent.

Leadmill Sidewinder
Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’14. Gold with white head. Light, thinnish beer for the ABV, there is a grainy maltiness, some caramel. There is an earthy hop note that comes through but not enough to promote it from the mundane unfortunately.

Cask gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Friday 9th May 2014 Warm gold, reasonably bitter but missing something. Overall a little dissapointing compared to what Leadmill can do. Its quite tasty but lacks any distinct standout quality, a little droll, bit rustic and safe. A5 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Leadmill Destitution
Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival ’14. Pale Straw with white head. The pale body imparted more malty notes than expected, a solid biscuit flavour, quite crisp and bittering leading to lemon, grapefruit hop flavours. A touch jarring but nevertheless a very decent beer.

Had this at Indietracks Music Festival, nr Ripley, Derbyshire. 27.07.13 Pours amber little or no head, fruity, tangy and wondefully hoppy. Quite amazed that I’ve not rated this as I’ve had it loads at The Old Oak Horsley Woodhouse. Sipping the remainder whilst watching The Secret History a NY based band featuring Mick Ronson’s daughter on vocals. Juicy, full flavoured quality beer, I like reminds me how much I like Leadmill.
