Tawandang Weizen
On draught at the Phnom Penh branch. Not sure if they brew on site or if the beers come from Thailand. If the latter, perhaps this hadnít travelled too well. If the former, I just wasnít too impressed. Hazy yellowish amber pour. Aroma was quite skunky and eggy. Granted, a little wheat and citrus in it too. Taste was much the same. Fruity and citrussy with wheat but ultimately it was quite stale unfortunately.

Cloudy blond color. Light wheat aroma, more pronounced wheat flavor; it has mild spice and fruit touch; dry; very low bitterness.
Easy but not bad.

Tawandang Dunkel
Draught at the brewpub in Singapore
Dark brown color. More than roasty, chocolate or nutty character, these dark malts give a dusty character to the beer; the bitterness is rather low.
Simple.

Draught at the brewpub in Singapore
Cloudy deep blond color.
Pleasant crispy malt aroma, but too weak and dry body, the malt has a paper accent; low bitterness. Easy but not flawed.

Tawandang Weizen
Draught at the brewpub in Singapore on July 9, 2013.
Sampled first, then had the "buy 1 pint get 1 free" offer with this beer.
Hazy yellow color, small white head. Sweet, fruity, phenolic scent. Sweet, banana, fruity, clove taste. Dry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Out of the three beers available this was the one who inspired most, which unfortunately donít say all that much. Decent.

Tawandang Dunkel
Draught (sampled) at the brewpub in Singapore on July 9, 2013.
Hazy dark brown color, brown head. Sweet, malty, grainy, hints of toffee scent. Malty, dry taste. Dry, mineral, sand like aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
Swedish saying "Inte mycket att hšnga i julgranen" suits this one rather well, not bad, clean and all, but whereís the life and charcter of the beer?

Cloudy golden color, small white head. Malty and grainy scent. Malty, dry, grainy taste. Dry, grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness.
Not very interesting or really any character either, fairly bland and boring.

Tawandang Lager
Draught at the Rama III location. F me, I take what feels like an hour long taxi ride to this place to escape the pale lagers and end up liking this the most. Hazy amber. Nose of light snappy floral hops, flavour is honestly horse blanket, for some reason I get that from unfiltered lagers. Finish lasts. More similar to the kellerbiers Iíve tried than any pale lager. Sat next to the taps, this was 90% of their pours, but itís not only because itís the most similar to the ubiquitous yellow fizz here, itís just a really good beer imho.

Draught at the Rama III location. Love the commercial description. Mainly esters here and not many phenols, with a strong banana scent and flavour of course. Sweet, no tartness. Very fresh, As JorgeLee said this is on the way to being a wit; possibility thereís unmalted wheat in here. Simple, but good.

On tap at the crazy brewery in BKK. Always hilarious times people watching in there! Sweet cherry bark flavor with mild plum fruits, good malt, and incredibly smooth dunkel, and one of the better beers you can get in most of Thailand...

Draft @ Singapore brewpub. Muddy brown with orange tint and a stable head. Immature dark malt aroma is husky but I donít mind that. Soft palate is thick and yeasty. Remains husky but nice nonetheless with sweetish bread malt character.

Draft @ Singapore brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow, paler than the lager. Decent stable head. Aroma tainted by some pedio and dirty sock sourness. Thin but soft palate with some fizz. Flavors are ok, some sweet wheat malt character. Finishes with a nice wheat/fruit balance. OK.

Tawandang Lager
Draft @ Singapore brewpub. Hazy milky yellow with stable, tight head. Kit beer aroma, but smells like a well-made kit beer. Predictable formulaic feel, predictable yeast character. Some freshly cut orchard fruit esters. Fizzy palate. The malt character is decent but is way too yeasty. Nice dry, floral finish indicating good hopping. Not bad.

Lager not my favorite style, but after their marvelous Hefe i had to try this. Entirely adequate. Almost clear, lightly hazy, good draft head. Grassy lager nose, classic lager floral hops. What else can I add? Worked well with spicy Thai food.

An unanticipated delight. Nose of citrus, banana, cloves ... a real hefe. Cloudy orange with a huge white head. This is starting to get interesting. Taste of banana and cloves and lemon ... about as good as a hefe can get, and perfect for the humid hot sticky Singapore evening and perfect with the moderately spicy and wonderfully complex Thai dinner. What a wonderful surprise. Thanks Tobias and Irene for finding the place.

Nice untypical dunkel weizen. Beautiful aroma. Great wood, some spice and fantastic wheat notes. Smooth and sweet. Nice dry and, hint of bitter is just about right. Worth a try. Howver, be open-minded - itís not your usual dunkel weizen.

Good floral flavours. Nice banana vanilla notes with some faint spice elements. Has a nice grainy sweet aftertaste with a delectable middle. Lacking in strong aromas and the typical cloudy wheat beer body though. Nevertheless, highly refreshing, thirst quenching and nicely carbonated. Good wheat beer.

Dark brown color with small creamy off-white head. Sweetish and lemony hoppy aroma. Starts a bit sour with creamy mouthfeel then when warms up comes very strong flavor of milk chocolate. You could almost call this "chocolate stout" (but being a lager, not).

Bangkok location: Cloudy yellow; Aroma of candy banana - very sweet. Palate is also very sweet...mainly banana with a malty backdrop. Slight hint of clove. Very sweet, straightforward finish. Not so wheaty. 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0

Singapore location. Hazy yellow tan with thin head. Aroma is banana forward; sweet front, picks up some yeasty dryness late. Touch of acidity. Good balance. 3-7-4-7-14 = 3.5

Bangkok: Chestnut colour, hazy with cherrywood highlights. Toasty aroma with hints of peanut skins and dark chocolate. Flavour is largely toasty with faint nutty notes, a little woodiness. Body is thin for style, which allows the carbonation to be too aggressive and, along with the freezing serving temperature, to wipe out some of the flavours. Quick, off-dry finish. 7-3-6-3-12 = 3.1

Singapore: Rich chocolatey dark brown colour and thin head. Lightly chocolatey aroma with toasty notes. Thin, only vague dark malts. 7-4-5-2-12 = 3.0

Bangkok: Cloudy beige-amber colour; the aroma is mainly, if lightly, herbal with pale malt notes shuffing shyly underneath. Fresh malty palate with lime-like hops and a faint touch of yeast. 7-3-7-3-13 = 3.3

Singapore: Hazy light tan; thin head. Aroma is vaguely malty, somewhat yeasty. Flavour is yeasty with just a little toasty malt. Probably a little bit fizzy for its own good. 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0
