Ørbæk Lakrids Kongen 2.2
Copenhagen 13/2 2016. 50 cl bottle brought home by my girlfriend. King of licorice blinking to me from the label. Pours reddish brown with small off-white head. Lacing on the side of the glass. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is sweet. Herbs, cooked cabbage, farts and a little sweet licorice. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Taste is sweetish and of cooked vegetables. Sweet licorice is bit more prominent than in the aroma without being overpowering. Too much cooked vegetables and too little licorice for my taste.

Bottle @ friends/Stenders home coming. Appearance: pours unclear brown with good off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: bread, light caramel, oranges and liquorice. palette: medium sugary and liquorice aroma, average carbonation, medium body, distinct sweetness, not quite balanced by a light acidity, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: nice liquorice touch, but still way to sweet

PapaVillum
Ørbæk Fionia Nyborg The Bitter End Organic IPA 3.3
Nye IPA-hate'rs kan dog starte her. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ørbæk American Style IPA 2.9
Bottle. Almost clear in the glass, golden to amber in color and with a dense, finger-thick light beige head leaving some lacing. The aroma is too much on the malty, caramel side for me, but there’s also a nice piney, resiny and tropical hoppyness. It’s bitter on the palate, in a lightly harsh way, with bready, caramel flavors in the back. Tropcal fruits, pine cones and some resins in the flavor, lasting for a good while. A decent IPA, but it fails to live up to it’s commercial deScription. 160130

Ørbæk Dunkel 2.1
Copenhagen 29/1 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Bought under the name "Dark Horse". Horsey silhouette on the label. Pours hazy dark reddish brown with off-white head. Head disappears completely leaving flimsy patches of foam. Aroma is sweet and buttery. Caramel and a little roasted malts. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Taste is roasted malts, harsh butter with sugary notes. Aftertaste is bitter in a harsh kind of way. Not an especially pleasant experience. Too much butter and sugar for me.

Ørbæk Black Lakrids Stout 3.4
The color is black with beige head, looks nice. Aroma of pepper and licorice. Taste is a bit week in the beginning, but you get flauvour of pepper, licorice and chili after a short while. It’s though not enough to give the taste an extra kick. I was expecting more from this beer.

Copenhagen 16/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. In order to look more autentic American they have put a Bald Eagle on the label. Very subtle. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam with moderate lacing. Aroma is sweetish fruit - passion fruit, melon and peach. Subdued sour citrus notes. Fizzy carbonation and watery palate. Taste is sour fruit - lemon and citrus - followed by medium bitterness in quite short aftertaste. Quite watery and without a good dry hoppy bitterness - this is rather a sparrow than a eagle.
