Ørbæk Rom Stout 3.5
Bottle. 8.0%. Best before 04.07.17. Pours black with a dark tan head. Good lacing. Roasted aroma with a smoked/bbq note. Flavour is sweetish, roasted and smoked. A bit fruity as it warms. Bitter finish, a bit tart and dry, with a light alcohol burn. Overall good; well-balanced, especially the relatively high alcohol content. 23.05.16.

Ørbæk Rom Stout 3.2
Copenhagen 18/5 2016. 50 cl bottle form Fakta. Big brown rum barrel on the label. Pours opaque dark brown with beige head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. Aroma of brown sugar, bitter dark chocolate, coffee and little whiff of alcohol. Medium carbonation and thick palate. Flavor is sweet with a more subdued hint of bitterness. Aftertaste with sweet chocolate and something sweet and alcoholic that just might be rum. No bad way to get a comfortable buzz.

Ørbæk California Lager 3.2
Bottle. Pours hazy darkish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with faint notes of yeast and malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour with fruity and citric notes and touches of yeast and malt. Rough and acidic aftertaste. Tastes more like an ale than a lager. Not bad, though.

Bottle 50cl. Cloudy warm yellow with a white head. Weak aroma, but some sweet fruit. Flavour of apricop and malt. Not sure what "The bitter end" refers to. It is not bitter. It’s not a bad beer, but I expected something else, more IPA’ish. Medium length.

Ørbæk Påske Ale 3.5
Copenhagen 25/4 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Three Easter Chicken drawn by an underage kid on the label. Pours hazy orange with yellowish head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is sweetish with exotic fruit like peach, honey melon and passion fruit. Citric notes as well. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor has good bitterness and only discrete sweetness. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Except for the chickens drawn by an infant on the label this is not what I would expect from a Easter seasonal. But certainly a nice bitter pale ale.

22-APR-2016, bottle @home. Black with a lasting, low, off-white head. Aroma is Rhum. Sweet Rhum. Not a lot more. Taste is Rhum as well. Some roast, raisins. Very sweet, full body. The Rhum seems added and not the result of a Rhum barrel aging? Too sweet for me but a nice try from Ørbæk.

Bottle, 8.0%. Roasted aroma, slightly vinous, perhaps from the rum. Black colour. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and salty with a distinct ashy note. Late salty liquorice note. It does not have a lot of rum flavour, but it does have a certain mildness that may come from the rum.
