MarkoNm	1.8 Bitolsko Pivo Pours a clear golden, topped with medium frothy white head that’s gone in a matter of seconds. Quite smelly grainy nose with some fruity presence. Alexovsky	4.1 Bitolsko Pivo Tried it randomly after a local from Macedonia recommended it. Was a little sketchy at first but was very surprised with the outcome. Not as bad as people complain about, highly enjoyable. A bit too carbonated for my liking but still a very nice beverage and a big achievement for a small country. Grumbo	2.4 Bitolsko Pivo Big plastic bottle from Remstore, Ohrid. Pours a deep amber colour with a just off white head, soon disapating to something rather flat. Aroma of sweet malt, with a sweet caramelised taste to finish. Average carbonation to begin with, rather artificially sweet, not great really. RERATED based on 500ml glass bottle which was better, more golden in colour with a good white head which stayed, much less sweet and much more enjoyable! Friday, August 29, 2014
Nuffield	1.8 Bitolsko Pivo My friend really liked this one compared to other local beers, but I didn’t. It is clearly darker than many pale lagers, with a golden hue. But I found the body to be a bit sticky, heavy with a plastic and chemical note. I didn’t care for it. 1.5 liter bottle purchased in Skopje. Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Oakes	1.5 Bitolsko Pivo As this beer comes from the ancestral home of Tie Domi, I thought drinking it would improve my badass credentials, or at least increase the size of my skull. Beershine	1.6 Bitolsko Pivo 2L PET hobo jug. Dark gold. No real head but quite a few rising bubbles. Smell is syrupy sweet, with a toasty element. Mildly fizzy, but not too gassy. Oily middle. For what it is, the flavors are not that bad. The toastiness in the malt saves it, and there aren’t really that many off-flavors--no sourness or diacetyl. Weak malty, slight hoppy and grainy with notes of cardboard. Rather bitter finish. Overall quite thin. Alcohol content??? Who knows, because label doesn’t mention anything. The aroma is grassy and has notes of corn. It is sweet and rather malty and has a resiny, hoppy finish. The most streamlined and least flavourful of the Macedonian beers I've tried.
